    Disneyland Hotels worth the price?

We stayed at the Marriott last summer and really liked it. Not a long walk and we had a room overlooking the park so we watched the fireworks from there the night before we left so we didn't have to deal with crowds at closing time! Would definitely recommend it

NBA players complain about food and accommodations at WDW

I agree with the food aspect. They are professional athletes, I knew a few Euro league ballers and they truly were 'my body is a temple' kinda guys so I can't imagine how seriously NBA players would take their nutrition. With regards to the rooms however...umm...suck it up buttercup! They are...

"Dixie Chicks" are now "The Chicks"

Oh, ok. The way people talk about them it seemed like they were murdering puppies on stage or something!

"Dixie Chicks" are now "The Chicks"

For what reason? I lived in the UK and didn't know anything about their 'history' until I moved to Canada....I still don't really get what happened

Disney's PORT ORLEANS RIVERSIDE RESORT Information & Questions

Same for us. We were holding out as long as possible before we cancelled but as soon as the border closure was extended we knew there was no option 😭

What is your WDW vacation alternative?

We're rescheduling our August WDW trip to next year and extended our July rocky mountain weekend to include 2 nights in another town and 3 nights in Vancouver. Hubby is carrying 1 weeks vacation over to next year so we can have 3 weeks in WDW/Universal

    August 2020 Reservations-still going?

We were waiting as long as possible before cancelling our Aug 12th trip, but now the Canada-US border closure has been extended we're making the call 😭

Are you still “quarantining” or have you resumed most activities?

We have been on total lockdown since March, except for groceries/click & collect orders. This weekend we spent 2 nights in the mountains and it was glorious!! We still kept our distance, but being out and hiking was exactly what we needed, a break without too much risk. We will be returning to...

If not Theme Parks, then WHERE???

I know, that's why I said border crossing is iffy. They aren't planning to travel right away, so we don't know if they'll be able to get here :confused3

If not Theme Parks, then WHERE???

I would say to try Banff, perfect for chilling (beautiful mountain scenery!) but with a great night scene that isn't 'too much', but border crossing is iffy. Hubby and I love San Francisco, San Diego and Santa Monica

How Kneeling Became a Protest Symbol

This happens to lots of celebrities unfortunately . Kaepernick lost his job and was basically blackballed from the NFL, and the repugnant Laura Ingraham told Lebrun to "shut up and dribble" because he's a sportsman (but Drew Brees was welcome to give his opinion...but that's a whole other...

How Kneeling Became a Protest Symbol

Even if you hadn't changed your mind (amazing that you did!), just the fact that you were willing to listen to a differing opinion and try to understand was great. Thank you x

How Kneeling Became a Protest Symbol

And that's the whole point. Literally no one is telling you that you can't feel that way, or stand, or salute, or put your hand over your heart or sing at the top of your voice. No one has told you that it is wrong, you however are trying to stop someone else from doing what they feel is...

How Kneeling Became a Protest Symbol

Where is the outrage for this? A silent protest on the side line is more offensive than this?? Seriously??

    Los Angeles Family Friendly Hotels?

We stayed at the Marriott in Santa Monica last summer. Right near the beach, shopping and directly opposite the train station. We drove to Hollywood very easily, but only stayed for a couple of hours, it didn't hold our interest the way I had expected so we went back to the hotel and spent the...

I give up - going to pack it in for now

My family is clearly not 'the norm'. Yes, wearing masks is an inconvenience, but we'll be wearing them wherever we are through the summer anyway! We don't ever do the dining plan (we don't eat enough to justify the cost), we don't stay for fireworks, haven't met any characters for the last...

Curious what your travel plans are this year...

We keep saying 'first world problems'. Boohoo us we can't have all the vacations we want, we sound like spoiled brats....but boohoo us!!! 😂 We live in a modest house, have modest cars, don't have all the RV/quad/boat/snowmobiles that pretty much everyone we know has...we spend our money on...

Curious what your travel plans are this year...

We cancelled a mountain trip at the end of March. We have another mountain trip booked for the end of July, we haven't cancelled as it's within our province and things are starting to open up in the next week or so, and it's a pretty isolated little town we're booked in to. We're booked for...

    Does any use Norwex products?

I love their mirror/window cloth. I use it on my stainless steel fridge which is awful for fingerprints, and they do a cleaning paste that I use for my ceramic stove top. I am going to be trying the BBQ cleaner this year though because I can't stand strong smells and apparently the Norwex one...
