    Would you want to know?

OP have you considered the psychological consequences to your DH if he does contact her and it doenst go well? She may be angry with him for not being there, she may be mad that he disrupted her life now, they may meet and it be all kinds of awkward and no one bonds...or it could be the...

    Would you want to know?

Ok take a step back and pretend that you dont know the man you think is a wonderful husband and father...put yourself in their shoes for a second, here is a man who agreed (whether he knew what he was truly doing or not) to give up his rights. You know nothing about him, he could be a jerk or a...

    Would you want to know?

It was taken literally because of your other posts. And when you either give up a child for adoption or adopt a child then YOU get to decided that the child should know. That is your opinion, doesnt meant it is the right choice (for a child to know) for all adoptive situations. My goodness...

And maybe they overreacted, can you blame them? If they suddenly had all of this come up and they want to protect her, then yes they may have jumped the gun and deleted everything. This bothers me...you dont understand adoptive families at all, whoever raised her, took her to school, stayed...

    And It Has Happened AGAIN!

I know I would not have known about the ones locally if it was not for Facebook, although one kid went "missing" so that was shared on FB with people trying to find him, unfortunately they did on his parents' property on a remote part of it. I think the pressure on kids nowadays for college is...

    And It Has Happened AGAIN!

We have had several young teen boys take their lives recently. All went to private expensive schools. Two killed themselves with guns. One jumped off a bridge in front of a bus of grade school kids. All of them said it was the pressure of school and life and what the future held. One was a...

Have you ever been the victim of sexism

I was told by a boss years ago that he preferred my male counterpart to me (who had just transferred to another dept) bc he had a stay at home wife, like he did, so he could stay later and do a better job bc he preferred to talk about issues at the end of the day instead of getting questions...

    Child ruins every picture!

Well my boys would never have the nerve to think or say that, esp if she is paying and even if she is not they respect their grandparents because we have taught them to respect their elder. Respect those people who helped and did things for them their whole life. They can manage a nice face...

In Line ... Kids gotta pee ... then what?

Because many of us had our kids go before getting in line, thus avoiding adding to any chaos

In Line ... Kids gotta pee ... then what?

Hershey Park manages to enforce the no line cutting rule, saw first hand several people being escorted from the line. That is pretty family heavy place.

Welcome To The Real World, Kiddies

I have stepped away from the work world for a bit but when I worked in accounting we had a dress code, my brother works for that company now and the same dress code is in effect. All the schools my kids attended had dress codes for the teachers and staff. My husband is in sales, going to...

In Line ... Kids gotta pee ... then what?

For my family we all left the line or asked a CM how to proceed. This rarely happened and we have been going to various parks from WDW, DL, Hershey Park and Busch Gardens. We always went before getting in line. I would allow a person back in who claims they have been to the bathroom but after...

Welcome To The Real World, Kiddies

I also presented this article to my 18 year old who will be starting college in a few weeks...even he knew that this petition was a bad idea. He said that they are interns so they need to play by the rules. He just recently started a job on campus. He dressed very conservatively for the first...

Welcome To The Real World, Kiddies

Even if they wrote in and said this was Fox News or General Electric or the Capitol, I would hope the editor would remove all that information because it is not relevant to the story at all. I wrote about a 26 year old at my current job getting bent out of shape bc there seems to be different...

Welcome To The Real World, Kiddies

I just started a new job and the boss told us business casual, where there are a few others that have been there awhile that have a more relaxed idea of business casual and one guy who seems to be the golden boy who wears everything from basketball shorts, a doo rag and pajama pants etc. One of...

Alligator dragged 2 year old into 7 seas lagoon

Just a horrendous week for the Orlando area...prayers for this family. And to me no swimming means no wading either but that is just me. They may have missed the signs in the dark and in their excitement of seeing fireworks

Saw something I have never seen before in CVS just now

Yes I know, my point was that sometimes that didnt happen as soon as it should have because the goal was to get the product on the shelves, front the store and ring up customers. You pulled expired as a filler unless it was blatantly obvious.

Saw something I have never seen before in CVS just now

That is called rotating the stock. When I worked in a drugstore (not CVS) back in college, we were told to put the items that would expire the soonest in the front. But also pulled expired items but that was a once a week chore during down time. You marked off on the chart if you did it and...
