    FL resident specials

Hi! As a new Fl resident I am eager to take advantage of the occasional resort discount they offer. They have a current special for spring, but we may have to wait till later this year to go. I was wondering baed on history anyone know how often they run these resort specials for Fl residents...

OK--How bad are the low-carb breakfast options at EP resorts really?

I'm interested to see opinions..I've stayed at BC many times and recall many options for QS breakfast. And I am not a croissant/muffin person. France is an option, but by the time you walk all that way if you're planning on bringing it back to the room it'll be cold! Or you could always do room...

What is most important to you when choosing a resort?

I base it off of what we are going for, for that particular trip. To me the beauty of Disney is each trip can be totally different. Our last trip, I was pregnant so we didn't want to have tons of park time. We did 7 days at WL, and planned on being at the pool till 2-3pm almost every day, and...

2 night add on-POR or CBR? Help me

We have a 5 night stay at the FW cabins which we are frequenters of (LOVE them!). After Disney we were going to head to our family rental place in south FL, but turns out we have 2 nights to kill bc we can't get in that house quite yet. I could splurge and spring for the xtra 2 nights and stay...

Holy cow I am so lost-pls advise!

:rotfl: Have you and my husband met, perhaps?? He's always asking for the same thing and I'm always saying, I'll see what room size they have available, hon... LOL. Too funny. Well, much to consider. One other question I can't seem to find the answer to. The upfront 'lump' sum you pay...

Holy cow I am so lost-pls advise!

Wow. And all this time I thought that the appeal to DVC was that you are saving money! If thats not the case, I am shocked that so many people would do it. Affording it isn't the issue, its making a wise choice. If you have the $ to make the outright purchase and a measure of financial...

What would you choose? The Polynesian or Disney's Contemporary Resort

CR. I like the room decor better. I like the dining better, and being able to get to the transfer station a teeny bit faster over to Epcot. I think our greatest Disney moment to date may have been watching Wishes from Cali Grill with our whole family, and enjoying the amazing view from up there.

VGF - Lake View Worth the Extra Points?

Shows how everyone is different-these would be 3 reasons for me to GET lake view! :rotfl: I did lake view at GF and standard view, and while I LOVED lake/theme park view, to me the extra cost isn't justified. We are so often out at parks or dinner that for the one night we want to sit and...

Holy cow I am so lost-pls advise!

Very good points!! I guess my feelings with cost/savings are that if going the DVC route in the end would mean (vs. regular 2x yearly deluxe resort bookings), that I end up saving something I may as well do it. ?? If not, then sticking with the regular booking may be the better choice.

Thank you very much for the info! I kind of feel like I understand about half of that, LOL. Get the general idea though. What is the Use year?

Dream big, live Grand. VGF homeowners' thread.

Bear with this newbie! :confused3 We are considering a future VGF buy. I've started the process of learning what I can about this big DVC world and boy is it confusing. Hubby's fave is BCV, mine is VGF. If we did BCV we'd probably do a resale buy. I guess with VGF we can't do that. Someone...

    Renting points and saving $$

Rental newbie here. I have yet to rent points but am seriously considering it for our next big trip. We are currently considering a DVC purchase, but prior to making that commitment we want to stay in a few villas to get a good feel. I've seen some of the charts, but I'm wondering about other...

Very good advice. Do you think this holds true financially even if you purchase a resale from someone else? Can you come out on top, or even slightly better?

Holy cow I am so lost-pls advise!

Just want to thank you all for your detailed replies and help! Very much appreciated. I've come across a few other helpful posts around here and on mousesavers describing DVC in detail. Very complex world to learn about! To me, from what I've learned so far, this should be viewed as a long...

Holy cow I am so lost-pls advise!

Thank you for all replies so far! Very appreciated. I have a lot of work to do. No, I don't intent to have this set for this years race, far too big a decision to make by then. But I am considering looking at models when we are there in feb. So my big question so far after looking at some...

Holy cow I am so lost-pls advise!

Ok So.. 1. What you select up front, as far as studio, 1br, 2br ect, does not mean you are locked into forever? With 3 little ones a studio would be fine for now but in a few more yrs yes upgrading to a 1-2br will probably be needed. 2.So if I sign up with a particular resort I am not locked...
