    Single parent dating.

I divorced three years ago and have my kids 50% of the time. I did online dating and had a fine time, to be honest. I've been dating a man I met there for 1.5 years. Definitely difficult figuring out if we will/can have a life together with the kids we both have, different school districts, etc...

6 year old: To stroller or not to stroller. . .

Going to Disney with four kids, the youngest of whom are two and six. Bringing the double stroller because I know the six year old will tire and whine and life will be easier for us ALL if he has the stroller as an option. He barely weighs 40 pounds and gets growing pains in his legs, I know...

Stroller: Rent or Bring (Check on Plane)???

Prefer to bring our own. I like having it to corral kids and things at the airport and save the money on renting.

Stroller - Bring Your Own or Rent?

We are bringing our own so that I can have it at the airport with us. I didn't want to have to rent daily at the parks because it would take a chunk of our time at the beginning and end of each day, and be on the expensive side.

Please help me plan our first itinerary with toddler!

Agree with DisneyRegulars. Our youngest was around that age when we went the first time, and he just went with the flow, content to stay in the stroller or baby bjorn most of the time. Any rides he was able to go on at his age he enjoyed! He was scared at Maelstrom and Finding Nemo.

Wyndham Bonnet Creek: take bus to parks, or use rental car?

Do you have a stroller? We considered that resort but were told we couldn't bring a stroller on their buses. May not be a factor for you, but thought I'd mention it just in case!

Small Moments that Created Big Memories

I have a few. I was in my thirties the first time I went to Disney, and I teared up when I saw the castle at MK. The day our kids did BBB and Pirates League was one of the most amazing days ever. They got so much attention and really stayed in character. I loved seeing them light up when...

Experienced Disney Parents: What is the best age for a first trip?

Our first trip was when the kids were 7, 6, 4 and about one year, and it was great for everyone!

    Here now, OMG buses.

We have four kids and were one of the families with a big double stroller on the buses. But we folded it up first and my husband would go to the back of the bus and put the stroller as out of the way as possible while I stayed with the kids. Renting a car would, unfortunately, add a hefty amount...

    AOA White Noise

I also use a white noise app on my iPad, and I know a few people have them for their phones. Way easier than lugging a fan!

How do i tell the kids? Should i wait?

We told our kids right away (over six months before the trip) for several reasons. We didn't want any well-meaning friends or family members to ruin the surprise for us, we wanted to share Disney videos of rides to get them bolstered up to ride them, and we wanted them to understand why we...

seems weird that most everyone plans on discounts?

We booked a vacation we could afford without a discount. That meant a value for us. Free dining came out and we changed from two standard value rooms to one family suite and saved about $30 :rotfl:

Your child's fav park (MK aside)?

My kids loved Epcot most of all, even including MK in the judging!

When do you visit Disney World and why?

The first time we went it was the week after Thanksgiving. It was kind of determined for us because we had a 40% off Monster PIN and we needed to work with those dates. We were so happy with the weather and the crowd levels that we're going again at the same time this year. We did originally...

No discounts of any kind at AoA?

We had two Little Mermaid rooms at AoA. When I called about changing rooms to take advantage of free dining, we aren't actually saving much money by switching. We did change to a family suite at AoA so our entire family could be together, but we're only saving $36 this way. So there may not be...

Can you do this? Check in Related

On our first trip, airfare prices were much cheaper for us to fly in two nights before our resort stay, even taking into account two extra nights of hotel. We stayed at an inexpensive airport hotel those two nights, took the free shuttle back to the airport, and took ME to our Disney resort the...

Disney's Art of Animation Resort hotel

How much did you save? We changed from two LM rooms to a Cars suite and only saved about $36. Then again, we previously had DH and DS on a separate room leaving the day before, this is one extra night, so I guess it evens out.
