Same restaurants every trip???

I've only been once as an adult, this past June (went a ton as a kid but only did CS). We're planning for our next trip next year and I'm struggling with this. We had a lot of meals that we loved, but I know there are a lot more good ones to try. We are adding 2 nights, so that allows us to add some new things! We're repeating CRT dinner, BOG dinner, GFC, Via Napoli, Yak and Yeti, and Beaches and Cream for lunch. We're adding Yachtsman, Chefs de France, O'hana, and 50's PT.

Never found it a problem when we visited on vaca (3 times a year).
Visiting my favorite places to eat one every four months never seemed to be over doing it IMO.

We do mostly repeats with an occasional new place. My DH is a meat & potatoes guy but also likes pasta & Chinese food. We do mostly table service. Some of our "usual": Yachtsman's Steakhouse, Hollywood Brown Derby, Sci Fi, Chefs of France, Liberty Tree Tavern (lunch only), Tutto Italia or Portobello at Disney Springs, ESPN Club for their wing, BOG (lunch). We do throw in a new one every once in awhile. Just tried STK in Disney Springs in December & loved the steak. Might have to add that in more often.

I am very much a creature of habit-I don't try new restaurants and I get the same thing almost every time. At Disney, we have our staples (T-Rex, Crystal Palace, Sci-Fi) and if we do a new TS we try to make it somewhere we haven't eat at before-though I'm a relatively picky eater so the food I get is never too adventurous anyway. But we always, always schedule a meal at Crystal Palace (breakfast), T-Rex, and Sci-Fi.

I would always prefer to only try new places but traveling with family has meant repeats at 'Ohana, Tusker House and Rose and Crown and upcoming will mean repeats at Be Our Guest, Boma and Crystal Palace.

I have a laundry list of new meals I want to try, so I am personally not at a point where I want to go back to places. But if it makes other people in my party happy. So be it.

Do you eat at the same restaurants on every Walt Disney World trip, or do you try new ones each time????

It seems like when we go we always end up at the same restaurants because we know we like them and since we dont get to go too often we miss those restaurants between visits. At the same time though I dont want miss out on better restaurants!!

So what do you do? What are your must do disney restaurants every trip?
For Signature Dining - yes, we eat at same places at/near our Resort(s). We stay at the same places year-after-year. But we've also tried all the Signatures after a bunch of years.

Otherwise, we try to try as many new experiences as we can - as long as they fit out Touring Plan.

But every family (and person) is different.

Some of us enjoy familiarity. Some of us enjoy being different. Some of us can afford ad-on experiences. Some of us look at what we are familiar with and simply become curious about alternatives.

For instance:
-- We like exotic foods so will be going to recently opened Skipper Canteen for our first time instead of family favorite the Plaza.
-- Candlelight Processional package is on our schedule - child thinks Biergarten looks fun (we typically avoid buffets). Child wins.
-- Very much wanting to meet Queen of Hearts and she was part of Club Villain in 2016. Hoping to be able to do this in 2017.
-- We did our best to try as many new eateries in Disney Springs as we could. More have since opened. We are likely to both try something new (Homecoming) and also enjoy a few existing favorites (Ganachery, Vivoli il Gelato....and try a cake from Amorette's Patisserie).
-- Sci-Fi became a 'must-do' after our last vacation.
-- New eatery in AvatarLand will also be a 'must-do'.

On any given trip, any place can become:
a.) one-and-done, b.) never again, c.) let's skip it next time, d.) gotta' come back

But we do have favorites:
-- Sci-Fi
-- BlueZoo
-- Be Our Guest (for dinner)
-- Pretzels, Popcorn & Mickey Bars

We are not park commandos anymore, and like TS for lunch and a signature for dinner. So I like to switch it up or add at least one new restaurant every trip.
Due to some signature fatigue, we're trying 3 new restaurants on our upcoming trip in Feb. bluezoo, the boathouse, and homecoming.

it's so hard to pick there are so many different restaurants. on our last trip we did Skipper Canteen, Sanaa and Biergarten for the first time and both were HUGE hits. My next trip will be 2.5 days (3 nights) at the parks then 4 night cruise on the Disney Dream then one more day/night at Disney before flying home. It is going to be very very very difficult to whittle down our 8 night DxDDP list from last trip to that! Sanaa probably won't make the cut even though it was excellent due to how much time it will take to go there but I think Biergarten might for one of our Epcot days and Skipper Canteen might be a repeat as well (planning two MK days, not a huge fan of CS in general).

some old favorites of mine are CA Grill, Crystal Palace (always went for character interaction but finally tried breakfast there and MUCH better food than dinner), Tusker House (we may not go to AK next trip so it will not make the cut because of that) and 'Ohana breakfast (big fans of stitch)... we did those in 2014 and did them all again in 2016. For our next trip we may give Chef Mickey's a try for breakfast on cruise departure day... I have avoided it due to noise and chaos and not really being a huge fan of dinner buffets but it may be the right time to try it for breakfast finally... it feels so festive before taking off for the port. It would be that or 'Ohana, I'd let the kid decide. We may not make it to any signatures on our next trip because they take too much park time, but I have never done BoG so we might do that in-park instead... it's no CA Grill but it's a beautiful atmosphere.

We try to add at least one or two new restaurants each trip. Our list of "standards" keeps growing, so its hard to work the new ones in. In May, for example, we are trying the Skipper Canteen and rotating a few oldies back in.

Tusker House is the only one we repeat every trip. We try to go to new ones every trip.

Ditto, my wife HAS to eat at Tuskers every trip... other than that, its a crap shoot. We do eat at the same places a lot but also different places.. this past trip we ate at Via Napoli TWICE and hadn't ate there in several years.

We do maybe one new restaurant per trip (usually because something new opened, last two were Tiffins and Skipper Canteen).

There are a couple new places at DS I'd like to try, but we usually only eat there once and I can't give up Raglan Road.

We definitely have our favorites and will return to those often, but we make it a point to try 1-2 new restaurants on each trip. Variety is the spice of life! :)

I always ask everyone for their one must-do, and then fill in other spots with new places. Typical must-do's are O'hana, Hoop Dee Do, Tusker House, BOG, and Raglan Road. This time we are actually not doing Hoop Dee Do, which somehow feels wrong, it's been a tradition to go there on our last night, but we are trading it for Cinderella's Royal Table, a first for us. Some other new tries for our upcoming trip are Skipper's Canteen, Biergarten, Homecoming, and 50's Prime Time (new to everyone else). Returning to the rotation is Boma. Our last trip came four years after the previous one, but we still managed to get quite a few new restaurants in. Now we are returning within a year, and plan on annual trips from here out, so hopefully the 'but I love that restaurant so much and it's been so long since I've had it' issue won't be as strong so we can continue to try more new places.

:) Another family who stays pretty true to the favorites. But like others, we DO try to venture out and try at least two new places per trip. But I can sympathize with others that if we can't go but once a year or less, then I want to go experience my favorite food experiences just like I want to experience my favorite attractions! My must do's are Donald's Safari Breakfast @ Tusker House, Yak & Yeti, and San Angel Inn as a date with my oldest son....

lunch at liberty tree used to be a "must do" on our first MK day of a trip, but its off the agenda now due to the menu change. :confused3

I havent done LTT lunch in a while. Im literally squeezing it in this upcoming trip. We have a 8:40 breakfast at CP and HAVE to be at 3:00pm parade (my nieces are dancing and it is the entire reason for this trip!). Im getting FP+ for viewing, so I think Ill be OK getting to the viewing spot by 2:45 (parade doesnt reach that area until 3:20). So I booked LTT for lunch at 1:20. Im already telling myself to limit my CP breakfast to 1 Mickey waffle and maybe something small to hold me over til lunch, but if the food is different at LTT I would be more than thrilled and cancel the whole thing. My hubby really wants the pot roast lunch.

Please tell me its the turkey dinner all day long! I dont like it and can cancel :)

DH is a little wistful about this, too. I think I might guide him to the bar and he can have his beloved bread pudding and whiskey flight while I take the kids to the Lego store. He'll have plenty of time to enjoy it because the kids have to look at EVERYTHING.

I don't plan WDW trips very far out, so a lot of our choices are based on availablity - especially V&A - and last minute cancellations. Because I eat later in the day for lunch and dinner than the majority of WDW visitors, I have better luck. I always eat at Bluezoo and Restaurant Marrakesh/Spice Road Table (or both) and then fill in from there. Some favorites are the 3 above, I'll take CG, MP, Morimoto, Kimonos, Il Muliano, Flying Fish, Yachtsman, San Angel, R&C, VN, I've had really good luck grabbing random reservations - often for late lunches, day of.

Next trip, I'm trying Skipper's (finally a refreshing glass of wine at MK) and Tiffins/Nomads. Depending on availablity.

Sorry, pot roast is gone. There is a kid's pot roast - I haven't heard if people have had luck trying to order an adults portion of it or not.
