We just returned from the 2/1 Treasure sailing and we had a fantastic time!
I'll preface this with a disclaimer - we are big fans of the Wish! So obviously going into this we expected to like the Treasure. I know it will be a different experience for those who prefer the older class ships - if you don't enjoy the Wish, I don't imagine the Treasure will be able to change your mind.
But for me, since with the exception of Moana I'm more attached to the IPs associated with Wish than Treasure, I thought I'd feel "at home" on the new ship but missing a little bit of the magic of the Wish.
This was not the case at all; I'm not sure if I can properly explain it, but I found common areas on the Treasure to have an overall more "cozy" vibe. The Wish is all sparkling bright pastels, while the Treasure is deeper hues and dark wood. This may sound reductive, but it has an overall slightly more 'masculine' feel which had me start thinking of it as the brother ship to the Wish.
And again, it has nothing to do with the IPs! Princess and the Frog is one of my top 3 Disney films, but yet I found myself enjoying the theming, drinks, and food (those waffles? heavenly! while the beignets only ever disappointed me) of Skipper's Society over the Bayou.
I enjoy Luna as an event space, but it feels generic in comparison to Sarabi, which, since AKL is my favorite WDW resort, made me feel right at home with the music and decor!
Same with Periscope Pub - it hits you overt the head with theming in comparison to Keg and Compass. Which isn't everyone's cup of tea, but it is mine, so I loved it, and the ceiling effect made it feel relaxing to me even when the space was filled with guests.
Haunted Mansion Parlor goes without saying - there's so many details to take in you might need multiple visits to catch them all.
Plaza de Coco - I'm a bigger fan of Frozen than Coco, and I love the experience at Arendelle, but the food AND performances at Coco blew it out of the water.
Worlds of Marvel > unchanged, apart from the second night seating show, featuring marvel character quizzes and Baby Groot jamming out to what was essentially the Cosmic Rewind playlist! It was a nice break from the Antman and Wasp show.
1923 > unchanged and remains our least favorite of the MDR (space is an issue in ALL the Wish class restaurants but it always seems the worst here.)
And the Moana show was just exceptional, especially the performer playing Grandma Tala!
Of course a lot of the issues plaguing the Wish were unchanged - cramped common area spaces and elevator banks, tiny adults-only area, etc. But on the surface level, a lot of the superficial changes were just appealing to me in a way I didn't expect!
Also it was fun to see a LOT of familiar cast members who had come over from the Wish.
Just wanted to share my thoughts - if you have a trip booked on the Treasure and enjoy this class of ships, I hope you enjoy it as much as we did! (I've already replaced my Wish loungefly and fridge magnet with Treasure versions, haha!)
