ATTQOTD:
I wasn't aware of this and had a read though the information in the link.
I suppose I am not their target audience as I don't pay subscriptions for anything anymore.
A lot of the data I currently have available via Garmin I don't really use or get the full benefit from. However as others have said, tracking runs, run total, RHR, Vo2 max, sleep, steps and weight management all in one place is handy and convenient.
If any of that was to disappear behind a paywall I would either find another free alternative or go back to old school methods, like when I used to record all my runs and my weight etc in a notebook and get my training plans from a book.
Given the cost of these devices (Not cheap) I would hope that access to the type of data I use would remain free but wont be surprised if it doesn't. And I say this as someone who is at the cheaper of the range with a 265 music.
Reading that car manufacturers are charging subscription's if you want to continue to use your heated seats or remote start is another example of where I feel given the money you pay for the hardware these charges and a bit of an affront to me.
All I really see these days as a consumer is less for more and quality through the floor with most things I do purchase.
Sorry rant over.
