NEW Disney Gift Card Deals and More

I missed out the BB deal completely. Not that I was interested in buying but I wanted to be here online to idk answer Q's or whatever but we were caught up in the drama unfolding at our neighbors house. Apparently a group of individuals egg smacked their house and cars, spray painted "traitor" on their garage door. It was just crazy! They had a "candidates" flag up which was torn down and lawn type election signs destroyed. Cops came to our house inquiring about our security cameras - yeah, I forgot to recharge the batteries. Silly me.

Well it was a most interesting morning. I was in hair salon with color on my hair at 10:27 and was told they would shampoo me in 30 min. It was close I had phone in my hand but couldn’t get my glasses on girl rushed the shampooing and I had put the GC in my cart thinking that was smart thing and the girl doing my hair yelled “no No Quick remove it and put in cart when you get the alert”. It was a scramble as I immediately was “in line” than quickly got the purchase screen. Success😊. Tried for a second card and got to purchase screen then got the message Inhad reached limit with previous purchase. The whole drop/purchase process was over in minutes!

Did anyone else make the same mistake I did & end up paying full price? I mean I need the gift card anyway, but so mad at myself. I just assumed the discount would process anyway. :sad2:
This happened to me when BB had the offer before Christmas for the digital $50 dis GCs and I had the 3 physical cards in my shopping cart and ended up paying full price….

Already received the gift card email and loaded it to my Disney gift card account :cool1:

I found my card info in my junk email. Weird how the Best Buy email came through, but not the actual card. Do I print it out?

@mlittig - How do I load to a Disney Gift Card account...or what is it? Is it on MDE?

It seems nuts to jump through so many hoops - wait in virtual line, log in again, verify account, wait again.... I got one and already received it, but agreed it was a bit stressful. It felt a bit like registering for a rundisney race!

It's like everything else having to do with Disney... Genie+, VQ, LLMP, LLSP... 🙄🤨

What? Have you ever consolidated your DGC?

LOL, I have no idea what you are talking about. I do not have a disneygiftcard.com account. I am 67 and going to Disney with my husband and friends (who are Disney Annual passholders and are DVC people.) The last time we went was two years ago, and the two years before that... all for the grandchildren. Those two times, I purchased some gift cards here and there (never at a discount) and kept them in my wallet for various park usage. Actually had some problems with redeeming some purchased at Target and Food City. Disney was very gracious and gave me a popcorn bucket, and a wet fan for free. So I had not planned on using them again. Just as easy to stick my arm out and have the charge go to the CC on file with my reservation. This recent card purchase was done on a lark (because of the BB deal post in this thread) and will be the only card I will take with us unless there is another 'deal' out there. Thanks for the links!!!

To answer your original question, you can print it out or you can log into disneygiftcard.com (with the same log in info that you use for My Disney Experience) and you can move the amount of your digital gift card onto another physical Disney Gift Card. Some people prefer to use a physical card instead of carrying around a piece of paper. Sometimes I buy a $25 giftcard from Target to transfer my digital ones to.

I love the option to transfer. You can have up to $1000 on each card and empty the other cards and delete them when doing so. This makes it so much easier to keep track of and you can log in online and see the amount of money on the card. I also write the amount I have on the digital card with computer text. As long as you don't block the bar code they don't care. I buy so many throughout the year, I would hate for one to slip thru the cracks which is very possible to forget when you have 10 different emails of different cards thru out the year

I will say kudos to Best Buy for enforcing the limit of 1 (I know this is not what many people want to hear). If a store is going to have a good sale and only a limited amount available, it makes sense to allow as many people to get in on the deal and not let just a few people buy the deal many times.

That being said, I can't comprehend what the point of these types of sales are. Besides for the fact that holding it at 11:00 AM in the middle of a work day means that most people in the world can't get involved even if they wanted to, I don't see how this type of sale in any way gets people to shop at best Buy more which usually is the point of a sale.

I don't get it either, if anything it has turned me off from Best Buy because this is the second sale I waste my time on and don't get anything and then just think that the way they do things is nonsense lol.

Now that won't stop me from trying again next time, but I haven't bought anything at Best Buy in years and don't plan on it.

Now if they had a sale like this for members with this discount that went on for a few days like Sams club, by all means I would sign up for a membership and be more involved with BB.

Costco has uber/uber eats for $79.99 and at times it drops to $74.99. They had Instacart too for $79.99 but now i see it's gone.
Just came back from my Costco warehouse and they have physical Uber GCs and Door Dash GCs in stock $79.99 for 2 $50 GC...it looked like the display was just set up as every row was full. I just got the online Uber GCs online a few days ago and hit the limit of 2, but apparently the limit didn't extend to physical GCs, so I was able to stock up on more Uber GCs.

But my favorite find today was the mango rice crisps, a seasonal item. I got them last spring and it was so good that I went back for more 3 days later and they were all sold out. Trader Joe's had them for a month (different brand) but also sold out quickly and I was told to try again next May. You bet I stocked up today! It tastes like the mango sticky rice dessert served in Thai restaurants but in small bites.

I also saw a new display of Alaska Airlines GCs $449 for $500. Not sure if they stock this consistently at the warehouse but noticed it today right next to the Uber and DD GC displays.

Oh wow great info I didn't know you could go in and buy physical if you hit digital limit!

One thing I did learn the hard way is once you buy one, if you only buy one, you cannot get the second one until 14 days has passed. The two have to be done in the same transaction. I've never flown Alaska i need to look into it, we are doing Aulani next year and the SW fares are pretty high, I'd rather save those for my FL trips, especially since now SW might not even be the way to go because they're taking away all the reasons I liked to fly with them 🤣🤣 I will definitely be doing more price comparisons!
