My husband is more comfortable with the 4 wheel scooter, and the only other place with 4 wheels says battery lasts 3-4 hours! Gold lists as 10-12 hours. Anyone have any experience with them? Reputable? Battery life as stated? Thank you.

Gold is awesome and it’s the only place we’ll be renting from from now on. I ended up with an unexpected injury on our trip last fall and the only scooter place that I could get without a reservation was Walker. The scooter was fine but it was “junk” compared to the scooter my mom was using from Gold’s. She never dropped a single bar on her scooter whereas mine got into the red once or twice towards the end of the day.

Several trips a year and over time have rented from just about every company you can name. Been using Gold for years now… you’ll find plenty of 5 star reviews on the DIS. Their scooters are always in great shape and batteries are dependable. Customer service is excellent… very accommodating with pick up and drop off. I fly so there have been times I was delayed and texting them as my journey progressed. Most responsive and flexible.

You’ll find many of us who are Gold folk here lol

Thank you all! It was not on the list my TA gave me, so I was leery!

Glad is amazing. Been using for years for my Mom. Their scooters always look newer than anyone else's and barely ever have the battery drop out of the green. You can rent from them with confidence!

I always use Gold Mobility for my scooter rental. They are the best and the one time I had a problem (the scooter was slow and made noise) it was replaced promptly.

I wonder if the list was several years old. I understand you being leery, but don't be. Gold is one of the best, and the vast majority of DISers would say THE best (count me among them). But I can remember when their business first began. I had a trip planned and started hearing glowing reports about this new company, Gold Mobility. But I'd been burned once by a "flash in the pan" business so I hung back, figuring I'd let them be for a while. At the last minute I decided to take a chance and reserve-best decision ever! At least 7 trips since, I'm still happy I made the choice.

No, her list was for our upcoming trip. But thanks for the good review!

The 3 wheel.scooters are more manuverable, smaller turning radius. I haven't read a single post expressing any.issues with 3 wheel scooters

A theoretical issue, possibly true for small light weight scooters. Not an issue with rental scooters.

Gold mobility was wonderful on our last trip. I'm booking them again this week for our upcoming trip in May.

I have used them before and they are great lasted all day and then some ( I would record charging then at night) but I did forget and it was fine for half the day returned it that day great costumer service too

I'm confused.

4 wheel scooters have a larger turning radius. I notice the difference mainly when parking on buses and getting through attraction standby lines with lots of switchbacks, like Rise… 3 wheel scooters can basically be turned on a dime which makes them much easier to maneuver in these instances.

4 wheel scooters feel more stable and less likely to tip, I think especially for a novice user. You just need to be more mindful in a 3 wheel though I’ve never had an issue myself and definitely prefer the superior turning radius.

My husband has been using one of their scooters twice a year for about the last five years. Dependable, easy to work with, scooters are well kept and batteries last all day and more. Very responsive to any problem although the only one we encountered was a wobbly seat on a scooter our son rented. They met him in the park he was visiting and changed out the scooter. Easy rental process and they keep in touch via phone and text.
