I haven't been in the Uber gc marker lately but Target sells get Lyft gc's at least online, I'll grab them when I get a circle bonus promo offer.
Amazon sometimes runs sales on Lyft cards. Fwiw your issue could be surge pricing, when getting a car at MCO I flip between apps for the best price to try to work around that a bit. If I had to pick one to buy I'd go Lyft as they are often cheaper than Uber in Orlando lately for whatever reason but it's not a guarantee.
Lyft for me no longer allows me to use my gc as a payment method when ordering a car FYI. I have to go back in after I've ordered it and change the payment method to use my Lyft gc balance. A "glitch" that very conveniently for Lyft they just don't seem to be able to fix

There is a rumor out there your price is sometimes higher if you have gift cards in your account for both companies, I haven't seen it proven but there is chatter.
Frankly I'd probably skip the gc and stick with using cash and just go with the cheaper one at the time. I use rideshares often on vacay so I know I'll go through my balance but for just saving $5 bucks on an airport ride Idk I'd want the hassle of the gc and to be locked into one service.
