Actually dozens. I met my BFF here on the DIS. I am still very close friends with about 10 people I met here. If anyone remembers DISCON? Met more than 50 or so Disers there.

The weirdest being ( and I only mention this since she has passed) Someone will help me with her name, the real nice lady that had real bad sugar and beat pancreas cancer , but years later everything caught up to her. But before all that She posted from the Hospital that she was having trouble with her transplanted pancreas, but she was up to the fight, and this fight she would end up winning. Anyway I sent her a quick p/m encouraging her, (my dad died of pancrese cancer and was loving her strong fight) anyway she sent me a p/, back with her phone number, she said to call her. I so didnt want to call her, I really didnt even know her, but felt I had to. Anyway I called and she was all over the place not making any sense, then it dawned on me, the poor lady doesnt even know what she doing lol. anyway she won that battle went on posting and we never p/med again, I often wondered if she was embarrassed or dont even remember that whole day, lol

On the board here, Jason, she was MsDisney23. IRL, she was Kitty Castellini. Talked with her many times, a wonderful person.

As for how many for me meeting? Many. A lot. And a good number are very good friends today. And I miss many of those I have met over the years...they've left here on they're own, or other ways, and too many have passed away.

I have probably met and talked to over 150-200 DIs on DCL meet ups. From those 10 cruises, I have made real life friends with 4.

Can I just say though when I heard they were doing that at the Grand Canyon I was actually sorta excited for it . As long as the zip line is one where I don't have to stop myself.
