Some additional construction photos:
Over by the exit area of the pool’s waterslide, more concrete has been removed from the bottom of the pools. At this point, it appears the old concrete has been scraped off of the entire pool.
In many locations, the concrete removal has revealed the metal bars and structures lining the bottom of the pool’s surface.
Now that most of the concrete work has begun, construction crew members were cleaning surfaces and running wires for power tools.
Over by the bridge that crosses over the pool, more crew members were carrying a long metal pole. This area is also being used to stage some metal pipes, wood planks, and support beams.
Several sections of concrete in the walkways surrounding Stormalong Bay have been removed, exposing the dirt underneath.
The usual white railing that runs around the pool acts as the barrier to prevent guests from entering the construction zone, so a lot of the work is visible to guests on this side.
Moving over to the hotel buildings nearest to Stormalong Bay, this tall tower has now been covered in metal scaffolding.

Similar to the work we saw
on the hotel walls during our last update, it appears Disney is using the pool’s closure as an opportunity to also replace the siding on several of the buildings.
Looking up at this structure from the side, we can see where the siding has been removed in one area. The construction crew members are moving up the tower one level at a time.

The doorway on the side of this building is also open, providing guests with a look at the work from the interior.
Several crew members were prepping the areas where the siding was removed to receive new siding, while the other group was moving up to tear off the old siding.

During the construction process, the handrails along many of the bridges were wrapped in plastic, as were the light posts on this side.
A new section on the opposite end of the bridge has had more concrete removed. The edges of the hole were lined with plastic tarps.

Finally, more of the metal handrails for entering or exiting sections of Stormalong Bay have been wrapped in brown paper with tape.
Meanwhile, work has also continued on the area beside the resort’s interior hallway. During our last update, the work was mainly focused on the siding around the windows to the right.

The right windows now appear to be mostly finished, and the majority of the work has begun on the building around the corner. All four floors of the building on this side have been covered in scaffolding, as well as the roof of the portico area. The shingles on the roofs have all been removed.

Since work on the building has now extended around the corner, new white construction walls have been added outside by the guest walkway.
