I've been looking at my ADRs and going through reservations to see if there is anything I can tweak. We moved a few dinners back an hour or so but that's about it. I should probably print my envelopes today.

A couple of days ago I posted a pic of a dress I had purchased from Athleta for my trip. Well, it arrived yesterday and they made a huge mistake! I ordered a tall (which is advertised as being 42 inches long) and it's 33 inches! I don't get how they could be so far off. I didn't even try it on, out of the bag I knew it was far too short. :( Even the petite is supposed to be 36 inches long.

I'm really disappointed, it's a very nice dress. Boo!!!!

Yay for Mickey Mail :cool1:

Yep, I was also glad they cancelled he marathon - it was so insensitive not to in the first place!

I just this minute read about the second storm coming in .... really hope it dissipates by then

So do I. There are already a lot of people that had their houses destroyed or damaged. The gas shortage is not helping matters much right now either.

I'm glad you made it home safely!

I'm still waiting for Mickey Mail. :confused3

DBF is supposed to be commuting to New Brunswick, NJ this week (he drives down) but with the gas issues I'm hoping the boss allows him to work from home. I just think it's stupid that he has to drive down there when the client doesn't interact with him at all.. :rolleyes2

I'm hoping we don't get anymore bad weather.

Today is my do nothing day. Except watch football and drink mimosas.

Hope you get your Mickey Mail soon. I also hope your DBF is able to telecommute from home. With this gas shortage going on, it would be for the best.

I'm not looking forward to this Nor'Easter either :headache:

The mimosas sound like a great idea :drinking1

Bummer! How tall are you? I'm 5'8ish and I do like how talls fit me - I have found some cute dresses on rei.com....

Yes totally agreement about that storm - Mother Nature needs to give your area a "free pass" for a while!!

Our trip is now just over 20 days away and I am now realizing that pretty much all of my ADRs are during or too close to the time I would like to have my son nap back at the resort.

When I booked my ADRs his nap schedule was much different than it is now. He now naps 11:30-1:30. Unfortunately I have ADR's at Le Cellier, Tusker House, Chef Mickey and Mama Melrose Fantasmic Package.

Obviously these are all high demand restaurants. I really want to get dinner time or anything after 2:30. Do cancellations come up that regularly? With only 23 days I feel really pinched to get this figured out. I really don't want to cancel my reservations for fear of not finding anything better. I have been watching the cancellation boards and Disneys site but not much has came up.

So.... any advice? I've thought of downgrading to quick service because I feel that if I cant get the restaurants I really want I don't want to compromise. I'm just so disappointed. I really thought I had a solid plan. Being a first time mom I just didn't think about how much things could change in a matter of months.
I searched for weeks and weeks just to shift my Tusker brunch back an hour ... I got it eventually, but it took awhile. I don't think you'll be able to find new ressies for all of those.
I echo what SAT887 said, you may be able to adjust his nap schedule while on vacation. I don't usually let DS5 stay up til 11p :rotfl2:, and he usually doesn't nap at all but I tend to enforce both those habits when we vacation at Disney since we want to see all the late night shows. But he adjusts well to just about anything sleep-wise, as long as the total # of hours remains around 11 or so. You know your child best, do you think your child can/might be able to adjust to a different nap schedule? If so, then keep your reservations and let him take a nap either before or more likely after your ADR's. If not, QSDP might be a way to go ... we like QS and are planning on doing a lot of it this trip. It felt weird to us to be making so many ADR's, but I've been told restaurants are more a part of the WDW experience, and we've got more to celebrate than usual.

Thank you for the tip! DH just got an REI credit card this summer, he'd probably feel a little less guilty if I bought something there, too. :)

I think I'm between 5'9" and 5' 10. I always check to be sure the dress length is at least 38" or skirt length 22". That is the absolute shortest I can go (I think my legs are in pretty good shape but I am 50!). It is just really tough to find something stylish & long enough. The cute stuff is too short and longer stuff too dowdy. Bleh. I'm so sick of trying to find clothes that fit me AND look a teeny bit fashionable.

I know what you mean. I like cute stylish things but I do not like feeling half naked! I lost a lot of weight and still not comfortable in my own skin... I love the earthy, yogi, hippy type patterns too- they also seem more "unique" which is a plus for me as well. Prana is my favorite, but I noticed a better fit among the "outdoor" brands like Patagonia and North Face.

Oh and to add I didn't need to get talls in those brands!

well, tried to do a little pre-disney vacation shopping,....ya this is not going to be easy-taken the DS17 and still have no shoes for him yet!....looks like one more trip to the city and if he doesnt find any, he can wear his old ones! Kinda rethinking and may try to add one more ADR...then sit and wait for the mickey mail!

Tusker House might be do-able. But the others would be a stretch. Not that it's impossible; someone scored Le Cellier lunch just the other day. But I wouldn't count on it. As for Fantasmic package, I haven't seen anything after about 2:15 for any of the days I've been looking for - and it's been that way since my 180. No luck there at all.

I know it's disappointing but if the naps are critical for your son, then going with QS might be the best thing. Each kid is different, but I know naps were critical for mine so we never did anything except QS for lunch. And now that he's no longer napping, we still don't do much TS for lunch - since we prefer to go all day and call it an early night.

I totally sympathize. It's a tough call either way, but there will be other trips to do those restaurants. And you will want your little guy to be rested and really enjoy the magic.

Mimosas were had.

He's going to telecommute. Gas is still hard to get, New Jersey Transit is only running 1 train an hour from Penn Station to the station he'd need, and just getting to Penn Station will be difficult. He could stay at a hotel there but the client "approved" hotel is still without power.

I really hope this Nor'Easter doesn't happen. I don't want snow and we really don't need any more rain.

Ok, it took me way longer than it should have to get this passport formatted. But now that it's done, I'm happy to share.

https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B5I5yufNJ51Sc1RycG9uY0tIQTg

This passport was designed by Donatalie. I take no credit for it. I just formatted it for printing. Instructions are at the end of the document.

Thanks! I downloaded it. I'll print it when I do my envelopes and my LGMHs.

I downloaded GIMP the other day. I was all ready to start designing my own stuff, but I lost the momentum. I did make a pressed penny Mentos container wrapper for DBF but I haven't done anything since. :(
