Yay for you, and PINK too!!! Our closest ones are in Myrtle Beach and Charlotte, so Bass Pro is out for me, but I'm going to look at a couple smaller sporting goods stores tomorrow :) :)

DH and I got our oil changed in our cars today, did a trip check for mine since we're taking mine, and we both got our hair cut. So glad to have those 'major' things out of the way already on Tuesday. Now I can focus on packing and any little last minute things the rest of the week :thumbsup2 Oh, and I finally found my 'tired leg gel!!!!' That stuff is AWESOME for Disney trips!!!

Don't know if you have any in your area, but I found my chilly pad at Academy Sports.

Thanks! I just googled and they're only in the upper part of the state, not where we live. At this point I don't know if it's more that I really want one, or if it's more the challenge of finding one :rotfl:

Oh hope you pup is better by the time you leave. We are boarding our two dogs. We have a new one... a 9 month old dachshund that we got at 4 1/2 months and our other dog is 9. She is used to be boarded but Lily will probably be SAD. :scared: She is such a little princess puppy and loves to be held and played with. The place we use is VERY NICE. It will cost us over 900 for the 16 days. :scared1: I still hate leaving them but they have an amazing place so I know they are safe and well taken care of.

piperdown, I hope your dog is gonna be top shape by the time you leave.

I hope your Westie is feeling better by then!!

Bring him home something nice from the House of Mouse!!

I am so glad to know that others feel the same way about leaving their pet.....I hated leaving my yorkie when we would go away. He passed away in November and we got another yorkie, Trixie, a few months ago. This will be our first time ever being away from her and I so don't want to leave her. My good friend and her family are watching her so I know she will get lots and lots of love and attention, but I still worry..... I am relieved to hear that I am not the only one on this planet that loves and worries about their furbaby when going on vacation.

Thanks for the support!!! She's been on the meds for 5 days now, and she's doing much better. All the meds should be done by the time we leave. The poor thing is allergic to flea bites. We had 2 years of drought in central Texas that ended last fall. I've since learned that flea eggs can lay dorment for a very long time, and we've been fighting the buggers for months now. She's on Comfortis, but the suckers still get her. She chews herself raw, and that leads to infection. She on the mend now though. :woohoo: :yay: :woohoo:

Wow, NO posts since yesterday afternoon? What................is everybody at Disney World?????

Been watching the weather for next week, a bit worried that it's just going to rain the entire time we are there.

What does everyone do on days that are complete washouts?

Guess I'll be :laundy: for the next 2 days.

We are going to the Beach Club in about 2 weeks. It will be my mother (75), my daughter and myself. My mother was in Disney World very briefly (a day and a half) back in 1989, so this is really like her first "real" trip to Disney World.

Any suggestions as to what she would enjoy the most? She is mobile, but moves a little slower these days and does have to rest often. She will not be able to travel like this much longer and I want this to be a memorable trip for her as it is probably her "first" and last trip to the World.

Any ideas about special experiences or tips about what to enjoy at the hotel. travel tips, etc, would be appreciated. In addition to this trip for her, we are celebrating my daughter's 10th birthday and the fact that three generations get to enjoy Disney together. Thanks in advance for any insights.

Jambo from Jambo House! (It is amazing here!) We arrived on Monday morning. Weather on Monday was hot but not too terrible. We swam until our room was ready at 11 (online checkin). Around 2 we headed to AK. From the time we arrive to the bus stop to the time we arrived at Guest Services in the park for APs, it was 15 min.

Monday- AK was packed; however, waits were around 30 min. We left as evening EMH were beginning at 7 and more people were arriving. (DH and I drove through the night and needed sleep.) Yak and Yeti was delicious!

Tuesday - rope drop at MK - WOW! tons of people. Temperature was not bad at all in the park--left for brunch at Park Fare at 10:30 and went back to park until 2. (Had splash mountain fp my dds wanted to use.) Ride wait for splash at 2 was 80 min.:scared1: Did Haunted Mansion - wait time said 25 but it was really 35 or 40. More people arriving every minute. Went back to park after dinner and it started to clear by 10:30. (a nice downpour will do that.)

I will try to post pics or check in again; if not, I will have them in trip report when I return!

We just put on the ponchos and go. Parks don't seem as crowded and I just love the rain. Plus, since most queue are indoors, it is just getting from one to the other. Of course, the people around probably don't appreciate the soaking ponchos hanging off of my backpack.:rolleyes1

Doing my laundry today, we leave tomorrow.

You brought a tear to my eye, made me think of my Grandma and how much I wish I could have taken her. I say just take it slow and enjoy your time together. I'm sure just being there with her daughter and grandaughter will make it special. Have you made any ADR's?

From what I've seen, it's mostly saying Isolated T-Storms which normally means, only in certain areas and only for a short while. When it says Scattered, then you need to worry. What weather site are you using?

We sort of did this when we went for our wedding trip, although we didn't have any kids with us. I will say that it wasn't easy because you've got one person who needs/wants to go a little slower and one (or more) who want to go at warp speed. As long as everyone is patient and understanding of the needs of the others, it will be great! My grandma really enjoyed the shows. Spectro, Wishes, little street shows, all of it! She was content to sit and watch. We did get her a wheelchair because she had just had heart surgery 3 months prior, but even without the heart surgery, I'm not sure if she could have handled ALL the walking (she was a little older than your mom.) I think it's an amazing idea and I'm so excited for you to get to have this 3-generation celebration!!

Weather.com, is there a better one to use?

We've never been during the summer, so I'm not sure how to deal with rain while there.

it rained two mornings we were there last July and although the rain doesn't feel pleasant on vacation, it was better for crowds, we got to see more things and wait in fewer line. We just threw on a poncho, grabbed umbrellas, and headed out. The kids actually thought it was fun splashing in puddles as we went and they had crocs on so who cares, right? I hope our vacations are not wash out. I know how you feel. We leave on Sunday. I just want some days of sun or at least no rain so the fireworks still happen and a couple of parades.

That's what I was using too.

Oh crud! I just went and checked it again and it's different now than it was when I posted a few days ago :scared1: OH NO!!!!!!! No wonder you're worried!!!! Here's the latest

Sunday, July 18 - Scattered T-Storms - 40% chance of rain - high of 94
Monday, July 19 - Isolated T-Storms - 30% chance of rain - high of 92
Tuesday, July 20 - Scattered T-Storms - 40% chance of rain - high of 88
Wednesday, July 21 - Scattered T-Storms - 60% chance of rain - high of 89
Thursday, July 22 - Scattered T-Storms - 30% chance of rain - high of 91
Friday, July 23 - Partly Cloudy - 20% chance of rain- high of 91

I've noticed that it changes at least twice a day!!!! maybe by Friday, ALL the rain will be gone for the entire week:confused3. I can wish can't I???

I am taking 2 pair of tennis shoes, and some flip flops in case we do get soaked. Guess I better take a hat to cover this hair after the rain starts :scared1:

:thumbsup2 Oh, and I finally found my 'tired leg gel!!!!' That stuff is AWESOME for Disney trips!!!

What is tired leg gel?! Sounds like a good idea for Disney!!!

I have had my parents in town this week, so I'm waaaaaaayyyy behind on reading up - it sounds like we are looking at some rain for our trip - hopefully not too much but enough to keep the crowds (& temps) down!

OCALLA - I'm def with you on remembering the hat!!!

Never heard of Tired Leg Gel, but I think I may want some!!!

I can't believe we are flying out this Saturday.................and I have kept the secret from DD13 all this time!! Poor kid thinks we are just doing New Orleans for the weekend. I think DH is as excited about seeing her face as he is about the entire trip.

After going to WDW three times in July, that forecast is what you're going to get. It is virtually the same every year and day, unless there happens to be a frontal storm, which will make the precipitation chance around 100%. It's just a regular thing.

I don't think O would be able to keep a disney trip a secret from my 2. When do you plan on telling her?

I'm making my list of things I need to buy and have come up with a couple of umbrellas that I can put in my bag and ponchos. Where does everyone get their ponchos?

I have a question for those that used Mobile Magic. Does it give updated times and FP availability during evening EMH?
