Beth, such cute bags.

I just got my bagellini in the mail today. It was supposed to be here sooner, but whatever. I like it. Tomorrow I just have to make sure that all my stuff will fit in it.

We have 2 more days until I can do online check-in!!! I am so excited!

ADR that I am most looking foward to...
Kona for dinner
Cape May Cafe for breakfast and Tusker house because it will be new for us.

I am hoping for a little rest tomorrow. Today was busy for us. We are trying to get a lot done before we leave. Today we went to the mall to take my husband's wedding band to the jeweler. His wedding band fell apart. It has a plantinum band over a gold band and the whole plantinum band fell off. Then we bought my son a gift card from the Disney store for our trip. That will be his spending money. We like to be able to have him use the card so that we don't have to keep track of change on vacation to tell him how much he has left. Then it was off to Home Depot to get paint for the bathroom and then we repainted the bathroom. We just finished about an hour ago with everything! It was an exhausting day. The bathroom took way longer than we wanted it to since we had to remove an old mirror, light fixtures and other things. We just got a new shower with new tile so we wanted to update everything else as well, but what a project!!! Glad it's over.

I missed lots while I wasn't on for the day, but it gave me a good excuse to sit down and relax as I read. Now, I just hope the little one goes to bed on time tonight.

Can I have some of your energy?
Well, we are all packed and ready to hit the road tomorrow morning, bright and early!!

The only things left to pack are the toiletries we need tomorrow morning like toothbrushes. I already have the park tickets in my pocketbook, along with our DVC reservation confirmation letter, although I don't think we really need the letter anyway. DH and I both checked and we have our DVC Member Cards on us. I put my empty fanny-pack into my suitcase. I use it at the parks and it is wonderful. It has a few different little compartments, slots for my photo ID and credit cards and room key, and a large enough compartment for DS5's Epi-Pen. He's allergic to shellfish...it's on all our ADRs and he never had an anaphylactic reaction (thank goodness), only hives, but the allergist has me carry an epi-pen at all times just in case of cross-contamination. There is still a risk of an anaphylactic reaction. It's scary but we are very careful with him. At our favorite Italian restaurant, they serve a lot of fried seafood (calamari, shrimp, etc.), and they advised us not to allow him to eat anything fried for fear of cross-contamination so he always gets ravioli there. That's one place where chicken fingers and fries are out of the question! And yes, they serve chicken fingers and fries for the kids at an Italian restaurant! :lmao:

In case I don't get to log on here again before we leave tomorrow, I would like to say that it has been a pleasure counting down all of our vacations on this thread, and it has been very nice making new DIS friends who plan just as much as I do! We're a small community who understand each other when our relatives just think we're nuts (they're probably right though!)!! :lmao:

I would like to wish those of you who are still counting down a wonderful, fun, safe, and magical vacation...to those of you on your way home already, get home safely...and to those of you who have already returned home, I hope the happy memories of your trip stay with you for a very long time! :grouphug:

Look in my signature at the link to my dining pre-TR...I will begin my reviews and countdown to my #1 when we get home. 4 days after we return home, we are heading up to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada to visit some relatives for a few days. So I may only be able to post one or 2 reviews before that but the rest will certainly come after we are back from Canada! :thumbsup2

Have a safe drive down to Florida!

i'm embracing my cruls.

it's so hot and muggy here in Quebec that i've put my flat iron away and stopped battling my curls.

usually the front goes all frizzy so before i left home i bought some "curlz rock" stuff and every morning after my shower i put on some and vuala curls for miles.

even my front is cooperating (which is very very unusual)

so i'm guessing that i'm going to do the same in WDW and bring my hair clips so that i can put it all up when i'm really hot

this heat wave is killing me but at least we're getting used to taking a long break in the middle of the day since we're planning on doing that in 2 weeks :)

Kurby, my oldest DD has lots of small ringlets too. We use this stuff that looks like it comes in a toothpast despenser but smells like lemons for right after she get's out of the shower. Her curls dont frizz one bit. She however wants to take her flat iron to WDW with us. I'm not to keen on the idea of getting up any earlier then I have to to flatten out her hair for the day.

Okay - I finished my first two bags for Disney. Well, these are more like "prototypes" to decide what I want to use.
The plastic is REALLY hard to work with and sew on - I had to cover my whole sewing machine in tissue paper to keep it from sticking!:rotfl:

So anyway, I'm going to make the others the same style as the Mickey bag - but I want the straps a little closer together on the sides - it looks kinda like a TV right now - ;) I'm also going to bring the vinyl up another inch on the bottom - gives more support.

The Mickey has more shape to it, which I like, and the straps *just* fit over the stroller handle - so no swinging and knee-knocking when we're walking!

I'll post the other ones when I finish them - they will be a little prettier.

Your bags rock! :worship::worship::thumbsup2 Is there anyway you could give directions on how to make the one in the Mickey pattern?

Did you copy and paste your reservation #? Cuz that doesn't work.

I was doing that at first, then I typed it in. Then again I also put my last name in Caps....I'll try again this time only capitalizing the first letter of my last name. I've gone so far as to call tech support for the website but they were even left wondering what was going on.:confused3

Just tried again PopArtGirl and still got the same result. I guess I'm not ment to do Online Check in this time around.:sad2::sad2:

Well I was paranoid so I took the Sienna in today to Sears and they said the front pads were low.....and so we went ahead and got them replaced. It was 155 vs. 299 that Toyota wanted plus a year's warranty. SO that is done.

We are planning on driving straight through but staying the first night at Buena Vista Suites because we will probably NOT get there until around 7 or 8 at night. Then the next morning we check into SOG for 2 nights then 7 at SSR THEN.... :rotfl2: we move to Vero for 4 nights. Then we sadly depart for home on Sunday the 25th.

We have a silver Sienna with MD tags and the Disney mickey family on the back....family of 5 with a dog. Have to get another dog this trip for the new puppy. :goodvibes

Our plan is to leave at 5:00 a.m. We always fly so this will be a big adventure for us. :yay:

This will be an adventure for us too. We've flown both times to Disney (this is a new passion). We will be in the white Sienna - PA tags- DVC sticker and a giant green sideways Mickey head on the window (I saw this on a thread - maybe this one!?) and I loved it. AKV, BCV and BWV for us.

I hate that I can't trust the Toyota dealership. Even though I had free inspections on my Camry, we stopped taking it to Toyota. They kept telling us we NEEDED things we didn't for tons of money.

Have a great road trip adventure!

disneywatcher - the bag is quite simply a rectangle with notches cut in the bottom corners. I think the cut out pieces are line 16inx13in. I cut two plastic, two inside material, and two fusible heavyweight interfacing. Iron the interfacing onto the back of the material, and sew that whole thing onto the plastic piece. Now, the bottom corners you should cut out two squares - gosh, like 3inx3in. Anyway, once you get your pieces sewed and ready, sew your straps on. I usually stop the strap about 3 in from the top. IF you want to add the vinyl on the bottom, do that now. Be sure you are folding the edges before you sew so you don't have any raw edges. So, at that point you have two "panels". Sew on the zipper at the top so now your panels are attached. I recommend doing a little tiny diagonal stitch at the ends of the zipper so when you turn it right side out, it will look more finished.
Then, with panels right-side facing, sew the bottom hem together. Then sew the sides together. BEFORE you sew the last side together, be sure to open the zipper ;)
At this point, all you have left are the open corner notches. Hard to describe... um... the inside corner of the notches - pull apart so that the outside corners come together. If you're doing it right it will make sense and widen the bottom.
Turn right side out - and you're done! Oh, get a piece of cardboard or plastic and make a base for the inside or it'll be all saggy when you put stuff in it.
Sorry if this is all too garbled. I "eyeball" a lot of stuff.
Anybody feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions.

I have used this kind of method for making bags lots of times so I'm probably leaving little details out.

So it's like 80 degrees in our house b/c the A/C just won't/can't keep us cool with this intense heat.

And DH just put on pants and a sweatshirt and said he needs to go lie down b/c he isn't feeling well.

:headache::headache::headache:

NOOOOOoooooooooo ... doesn't he know that no one is allowed to get sick the day before our trip!

I hope after a little rest he feels better. It would stink to be sick on vacation!

What is the green sideways Mickey head? Sounds cool!!

As for Toyota dealerships, you should talk to my sister!! She has a brand new 4 Runner and she's had such a hassle getting an oil change because it takes some special oil that no one seems to have because it's so new. So she heard that Toyota will do your first oil change for free, so she called, they said absolutely, so she took it there. They gave her some run around about it needing 'special oil' and it ended up costing her $90!!!!! :scared1:

I got curious after I saw this, so I just went and did mine and it worked :confused3

I never noticed before that it asked what time your earliest person would be checking in. Has it always been that way? I wonder if that helps the chances of your room being ready earlier? :goodvibes

Big Brother's on!! Woohoo!! It means it's officially summer! hehe

DH and I LOVE that show. We have seen every season BUT one...it was the year they did 2. We skipped the odd time of year season. WE always watch it though.....it is fun. We have the DVR all set for it.

We stayed POLY, BCV and AKV last summer. LOVE BCV!!! We stayed there two summers in a row. My kids adore that place. Well maybe we will see you sometime in the parks. You have twins right? I have older kids. Our youngest is 11. Oh and I will NOT be taking our Sienna back to the dealership we have taken it to the last 2 times. NO WAY. It goes back to the original one we bought it from.

I am sooooooooooo excited. Have a safe trip.

Look at all you single digit dancer!!!:banana::banana::banana:

I am sooo excited for you all! And of course terribly jealous now that I am home in NJ! But we had a great trip! I will be starting a TR soon and will link it in my sig and from my PTR so I'd love for you all to come read...when you get back!

Hope everyone leaving soon has a safe and wonderful trip!
