Reading this thread just reminded me of my favorite tram story ever; it wasn't at WDW, but rather on a Disney cruise. We were at a port in Mexico where they transport people down the dock between the ship and shopping plaza via a tram. We were cruising with our next-door neighbors, who had paused to get some photos while DH and I continued on to the tram. We sat down, and a guy stood behind us in an empty row with one foot off the tram and one foot on, apparently waiting for his family. Several minutes went by, and the rest of the tram filled up but his family didn't show up. The tram driver finally made a couple of announcements that he should get on so we could leave, but he did not. It took so long that our neighbors showed up...they're an older couple in their 70s who are Southern sweet as pie but don't take kindly to rudeness. They asked him to move so they could get in his empty row and he ignored them, so they just literally shoved by him (no doubt blessing his heart as they did so). There were still seats in that row, so he remained in his one foot on, one foot off position despite the driver telling him to get on yet again. Finally the driver got out of his seat, unhooked the tram from the little car that pulls it, jumped back into the car, and drove off...leaving the whole tram there! All I can figure is that it must have been quitting time. Idiot Guy's jaw about dropped to the ground. We all had to walk back to the ship, but it was so totally worth it to see the big baby not get his way. His family STILL hadn't appeared by the time all the rest of us had left the tram.
