Highway in the Sky Dine Around with Wishes viewing area

Rec'd e mail from guest services today
Dear Guest,

Thank you for your reservation for one of our inaugural Highway in the Sky Dine Around events.

This exciting culinary adventure will take you on a five course dining experience, uniquely positioned to take place in five various locations in our Resort Hotels around the Seven Seas Lagoon. Please know that your Dine Around Adventure will begin at Disney’s Contemporary Resort where complimentary valet parking will be provided. If you are utilizing Disney Transportation, please allow up to one and half hours travel time to the Resort.

Please plan to check-in for your first course at The Wave… of American Flavors, where you’ll be able to relax and mingle with your fellow diners while enjoying a welcoming appetizer and specialty cocktail before setting off on your epicurean odyssey. From there, we’ll transport you away on the Walt Disney World Resort Monorail for your second course hosted at the tropical paradise of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort followed by your next two courses at the opulent Victorian-style Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa (including the award-winning Citricos). Your experience culminates with your fifth and final course at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. From an exclusive location, you and your fellow diners will watch in wonder as Wishes nighttime spectacular fireworks light up the night over Cinderella Castle. This musical, magical grand finale is a one-of-a-kind way to top off your dining adventure.

We thank you again for choosing this uniquely Disney experience and look forward to welcoming you and yours on our highway in the sky! Should you have any questions about your reservations or itinerary, you are welcome to contact us directly at 407-WDW-DINE.

Best Regards,

Received the above email today for my March date, as well! Did not receive one for the first event back in December...

I got that email yesterday, my date is March something, can't remember off the top of my head but it's one of the add on dates during the week of March 5-11, I think Wens night. I have been going back and forth in my head as to if I want to cancel or not because I was one of the ones that was really looking forward to the course in the tea room. Silly I know since I can just book tea there and get the same thing for a lot less. I even discussed it with my son last night, who is going with me (don't worry he's 36 years old and well behaved). He said he didn't care one way or another, keep it drop it, book tea in the afternoon instead, whatever (lot of help that kid). So, for now I'm keeping it but I'm looking forward to hearing a few more reviews. I don't really mind the fact that it's only 2 desserts since I probably won't eat any of them, I can't imagine wanting to stuff any more food in my face at that point and even the cordials not happening don't bother me because, again, I probably wouldn't have had any. I'll decide after I go pick up my prescription this weekend and see how much it is with my new insurance plan insisting the doc write it for 3 months instead of one. I may have to mortgage my house just for that.

Just in case you hadn't noticed, they are doing the cheese course in the Tea Room again

I noticed that, I'm still undecided if I'm keeping the reservation but now it's just because I'm not sure if I want to spend that much money. I have a while to decide.

website lists that they're doing champagne in the lobby still.... just went to check because I was curious about going on my next trip.

Then it’s time for a change of scene and cuisine—as the monorail transports you a world away: to the opulent Victorian-style Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Step inside and step back into a bygone era of elegance and gracious hospitality. You’ll be escorted to the award-winning Cítricos, where we invite you to settle in amid the refined ambience as you’re treated to a special Chef’s main course selection.

Afterward, gather in the splendidly appointed lobby to sip champagne and enjoy an artisanal selection of cheeses before embarking to your final destination.

When I got the call yesterday I was told they were returning the cheese course to the Grand Floridian. He did say it might not always be in the Tea Room if there are scheduling conflicts. Hopefully it will be in another separate room and not the lobby.

I didn't get the email but I did get just get a phone call to confirm who's attending, allergies, mobility, etc. So I feel confident they have all my proper contact information.

It's taken me thirty odd pages to realise that what you call cordials are not what I call cordials.

I couldn't figure out why you were all so disappointed that they took away a fruit flavoured juice...

Now I know it's liqueurs, it all makes sense.
LOL... I'll find out their status for certain next Wednesday, if no one else figures it out by then.
While I don't drink them typically sometimes, especially if it's chilly, I like to throw a splash in my coffee.
Though missing out on a thimbleful won't make or break our night, that's for sure.
Curious to the exact status of the desserts too. So far both reports we've gotten, from what I can determine at least, are from folks on the allergy protocol. Wonder if that changed anything somehow. Granted, I could be totally off base and that wasn't the case at all.

Seriously, I was sitting here thinking 'dude... It's just ribena..'

ANYWAY.

If they've reinstated it back to it's original form, I shall continue watching for it to pop up in April. :)

The terms are used interchangeably, are syrupy not juice,

but we are using Cordial because that is what Disney is calling them ...

"a private patio to enjoy an indulgent assortment of desserts, cordials and coffee"

Then I shall defer to their terminology, and not mention in their earshot that my four year old godson loves a nice cordial to set him up for the day.. o_O
