‘Tron-orail’ divides Disney faithful

I love it, I'm actually sad they arent doing more then what they are. Watching 2 pass each other would be great!

Yeah they should remove all the advertising in all the parks and get back to what the parks are for..............................................................advertising!? and making money!?:lmao:

This place is just one big commercial after another. Don't get me wrong I love this place but I realize that they are hocking their goods in every shape form and fashion and I am OK with that cause it is to be expected.

:lmao::lmao:

This is exactly what I was thinking!

I kinda like it...

I actually like it a lot! I thought the balloon clings were hideous! But this.... this is nice! I love the colors, especially passing in front of Spaceship Earth!

I like the part I could see in the picture... I'd like to see the whole thing.

And remember, Walt said the parks (and the attractions) should evolve... this is definitely an evolution.

I think its really cool, and I can't wait to see them in May. And to those who don't like the look...at least they are not coverd with Stitch decals and those ugly balloons, right?

I love the look of the monorail so much I hate to see anything on it, balloons, Tron advertising, whatever. I like my monorail cling-free-- just the stripes, please. :) At least it's temporary, but I have to wonder what the next thing will be...
:thumbsup2 I so agree with you! I don't even like the balloons covering the windows!!!! Keep the classic monorails please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Disney is one big advertisement for itself. Rides advertise the movies they're based off of; billboards advertise the rides; firework, attractions and eateries advertise the companies that sponsor them; there are ads inside the buses advertising parks, DTD, tv shows, music and movies; DVC advertisements are everywhere; the resort channels advertise what's available in the parks and DVC; the castle has changed looks to advertise certain events (Stitch ride, the birthday cake, certain looks for the holidays)...and the amount of gift shops...

This is just another form of advertisement. One can't complain about the commercialism of it when they're going to the most commercialized travel destination.

So what's the big deal. I think it looks great. I wouldn't like it if they did all the monorails. And it's not like it's the Target logo. LOL

Not a big deal. I just think many people who've been going to WDW since it's inception just prefer the classic original look of the monorails. To each his own!:)

So many threads about this, and it's the same thing back and forth. What I would like to know is what it's like to ride the Tronorail from the INSIDE.... Can you see anything, or is the cab dark and gloomy with a completely obstructed and unphotographable(!) view outside? That's where the bigger impact is.

Agreed!!:thumbsup2 That's my problem with the balloons on the monorails.

I'm not a big TRON fan, but I thought they looked pretty darned cool when I saw them on Monday!

I think it looks cool..and it won't be on there forever. Some people just look for stuff to get upset about.:confused3
