Ringing in 2010, 6 months til we'll be back again

MeMom I hope you and Jill try to do a quick October report. We are going for our first October trip this fall and I can't wait to see pics from your trip. We will be there on my DIL Katys birthday and my 46th birthday is Halloween. It's Ty first trip and if Sarah's boyfriend goes it will be his first trip also, so we have lots to celebrate on this trip.

Oh by the way is your zoo trip to Memphis or Nashville? We want to take Ty soon before it gets to hot.

Enjoy your day!

both of my nephews love John Deere tractors. One nephew is from my side of the family and the other my husbands. Well I took my nephew JJ (who was 2 at the time) to DH's nephews Blake's birthday party 2 yrs ago. DH took JJ up to Blakes room and JJ saw all the John Deere tractors...DH said JJ's eyes just about bugged right out of his head...he had never seen soo many John Deere Trac tracs. LOL! He still talks all about Blakes John Deere tractors and it has been almost 2 yrs ago and he was only 2 at the time.

Speaking of things my nephew does not forget...I had to share this story.

My parents kept him during Easter weekend so my brother and SIL could get some last minute things around before new baby comes. My mom went to work and my dad had JJ in the tractor. My mom passed them on the way to work. She talks to JJ later and she goes "I know that was not you driving the tractor because you do not have a drivers licnese!" JJ goes "Yes I do...I got one in Disney World!" My mom goes "I guess you did!" LOL! We had completely forgotten about that part but it just goes to show you what stands out to them or what they remember!

Lots of prayers for Dimitri. Hope he is doing much better!

Owen, Hannah, and I loved watching the video's of the showboat. Owen said, "again, again."

Prayers to jillyb and family. Comfort to knowing the pain is gone.

Glad you made it over there. We did a Mara meal too, complete with Zebra domes. I tried to show my friends the most I could in the short amount of time we had. That and I wanted to leave then wanting more... mission acomplished :)

I think he had rough time. She had written about hospital stays before.

Yes, get them hooked, for sure, so you can talk them into future trips.
My friend, Kay, really likes it now, so when I mentioned a trip for next spring break, she said she's in! :cool1:

Did you guys see this in AK ?
NewpartyspotCampMM123109.jpg

We did not go in but I could imagine Brooklyn dancing it up in there.

I believe it was formally the Pocohontas show space. We heard lots of fun happening in there.

We did not, but if there is dancing involved, we will be looking for it when we go in May. Brooklynn would love it!

Some more from AKL

I have not had time to explore Kidani yet, but that is on the list for this summer, when we have more time.

I did the best I could on the cake..... Ty has every John Deere tractor and such there is. He even got a John Deere wagon for his birthday.

If Jill has time to put pictures on photobucket, we'll try to do a highlight report. I really intended to do one while waiting the long time out for the summer trip, but then Jill went and blew that ides with this crazy impromptu trip! :)

We definitely want to share our trip to 'French Porter' wih you guys, though, and the time we got to spend with the cousins on that trip.

Our class is going to the Nashville Zoo. They will only let us have a half-day there. Whenever Jill, the girls, and I go, we are going to Memphis. We will let you know, and hopefully you and Ty can meet us there. :) Possibly June?

Kids have amazing memories.

Cute story: I was talking with my little significantly ADHD girl the other day about why she was having to sit out of play time. I told her she could control some of her actions, because I have seen her do it. I have seen her listen carefully, follow through, walk in the hall correctly, etc. when it benefits her. I told her she picks and chooses when she wants to listen. Her eyes got wide as she informed me, "That's because I have selective hearing!" :rotfl:

Think she's heard that from her mom before???

What is Bella's surgery date again? I need to go into the kitchen and put that on my calendar...

Next Monday, the 26th. I am going down there Sunday evening to spend the night. Brooklynn and I are going to hang out at the house, and Jill, John, and Bella will drive to Birmingham. It's supposed to be a relatively short ordeal. I will keep you posted as things go along.

Lots of prayers for Dimitri. Hope he is doing much better!

You should youtube it for them. I just get 15-30 second clips of things that are going on, just to capture the 'feel' for you guys, but Brooklynn and I love to watch longer Disney things on youtube.

*********************************

I got a message from Kelli that they are back at home. Dimitri had a fairly serious concussion. He needs to take it easy and be watched carefully for the next couple of weeks. Hopefully, all of this is behind them. It won't be easy to keep an active boy down, though!

Aww leaving is so sad :( At least you'll be back in THREE WEEKS NOW! :woohoo:

Great idea to stop over at AKL for some lunch before leaving. One last little bit of Disney before heading home. Zebra domes are amazingly delicious!! :thumbsup2

What a relief about Dimitri!

I'll be heading to the kitchen to put Bella's date on the calendar.

Do you have dates for your spring break yet?

I'll bet we miss you, ours is a week later for next year. I don't know why our BOE insists on messing with things that were perfectly fine to begin with.

Whew, it seems that whenever I get all caught up something happens and I get behind again. My parents were here for a visit so I was with them. I am excited to hear about Mary Poppins as they just released dates and they are coming here in January.

Here are some shoppping pics from Mousegears in Epcot. This was on my Spring Break (2 weeks ago!)

[We're glad to have you! You are our first New Zealander. :) Feel free to join in any time. It's more fun when everyone is joining in the conversation.

I know your Disney trip will be very special. I wish I could just stop time for you while you are there and make it last and last, since you hardly ever get to go.

Be sure to check out all of the reports people around here have going. You will be immersed in Disney happiness through their stories and pictures! :wizard:

Thank you for the welcome. That would be wonderful if you could stop time for me. From what I have read you are a very clever and capable lady so I am sure by September you would have got that sorted for me!!!!:rotfl:

18 days, I think it is now! :dance3:

It was a nice last grasp at Disney-ness before we left. I think Jill found a few charms she liked there, too.

I am of the opinion there will zebra domes in heaven. :thumbsup2

Spring break is whatever week has the 16th in it; I remember that much. We'll probably go down from Saturday to Wednesday, most likely. It just depends on when Jill can get off, but if I can, I'd rather go and get back and have a couple of days at home before going back to school as opposed to going the last part of the week and have to go straight back to school. I'll do whatever is best for the other two, though.

It's nice that you had family time. I hope you get to see Mary Poppins. Someone wrote that Beauty and the Beast was coming their way. I'm wondering if it will come to the south, too.

So glad that Dimitri is home now!

She will have quite a task keeping a little boy fairly calm for two weeks! I know how difficult it was to keep my boys down, even when they had stitches, casts, or whatever!

Thanks for sharing.
I should buy some of those ears shirts for a few of my students! ;)

Jarvis would like that Donald shirt.

I thought SM looked cool! This was taken while I was in line for the Speedway!

That is a cool picture. I bet when you look at it, you can just see yourself standing there again, can't you? I just love pictures for that reason.

I'm sorry you got such misinformation about me being clever and capable,
but I will sure work on that stopping time thing. :thumbsup2

Well, after I get finished with the instant transporter, that is. :goodvibes

Just stopping in to say "hi" MeMom and Jill! I can't believe the trip is coming to an end. :( Looks like a great last meal at Disney! :thumbsup2

One ends and another begins soon. :)

I peek in on your report regularly, but I don't have much to add. You're doing all that running, and I do well to walk! I am keeping up with your progress, though, and I admire your fortitude.

And, of course, I'm always up for seeing pictures of those three fine boys of yours. I always enjoy it when you show pictures of all the mini-trips you guys do.

****************************

If we have time, we'll put up some pictures from the October trip after this one gets finished out, which will most likely be this evening. I have nothing pressing tonight, and there are just a few pictures left. Maybe the next 18 days can be filled with October trip pictures as we prepare to head out for the Mother's Day trip.

Have a Magnificent Monday, all!

I loved the Tiana show, too. Facing the music and leaving is always the hardest part of a vacation. Yay, for AKL! It is just so pretty there. Next year, we are staying at Jambo house for sure!! Brooklynn is so sweet. Bella must love anyone that is willing to put food in her mouth.:cutie::laughing:

Last days are so sad. I love all the pictures you took. They really capture the magic.

I'm sending prayers for Dimitri to continue his recovery and for Jillyb. I somehow missed those updates.

Happy Monday everyone!

We're anxious to get a glimpse of the changes and get some pictures, hopefully.

**********************************

Three weeks from right now, we should be at Animal Kingdom!!! :cool1:

I would love to see some of those pictures , can't wait either !

:woohoo:YaY ! For 3 weeks till Animal Kingdom !!!:woohoo:

Great pictures of the MK street performers :thumbsup2

Love the Tiana pictures and the kiddies had a blast watching the videos !

The Mara food looks soo yummy !

Looking forward to seeing some of the October pictures before your next trip !popcorn::popcorn::

Loved seeing Tiana's boat show. I really wish it was still going to be there for my trip in 9 days. :cool1: I would have loved to have seen it. Not sure I can post this link here, but Lou Mongello has posted videos of the first day of Tiana's show on his website WDW Radio- there are 4 videos- http://www.wdwradio.com/videos/

I'm sad to see this TR come to an end, but excited to see your fall pics and that you are heading out again in 18 days!

I have thought about starting a TR for our upcoming trip, but I'm a little intimidated by all of the great ones I have read already! Besides, mine would primarily be pics and not words. I take a ton of pics on trips! I am bringing 48gbs for pics on my dslr and 40gb for my point & shoot w/video and hoping that is going to be enough. :upsidedow I am not bringing my laptop for downloading pics and stressing about it!:scared: Want to have plenty of pics left at the end of our trip for our last night stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge! :cool1:

Anyway, thanks for the great trip reports. You make it easier to not miss Disney as much as I do. Your pictures make me feel as if I am walking right down Main Street and in and out of the shops! :flower3:
