Anxiously Awaiting December Hours Thread! - WE'VE GOT HOURS!!!!

I'm not saying anyone IS a troll but trolls post to get a reaction out of everyone else on a thread.

No, I wasn't criticizing you AT ALL. I thought it was a little fishy too that he only had 2 posts. I just wondered what in the world someone would get out of lying about that!

i called disney on thursday and cm told me that december hours would not be posted for 3weeks so somewhere around the 14th of september. hopes this helps all of us that are waiting. Cm also told me that i could make adrs for the same restaurant each day of my stay.

:sad2:

Bad karma.........

Here's what I don't understand. If the park hours aren't up by September 1st (when I make my ADR's) how will the sytem know whether to let me make my ADR before normal park opening (i.e. EMH) time or not? I guess I don't understand how it can open up my 90 day window and not tell me what time the park is open? How can it possibly know wheter an 8:00 am ressie is okay if it doesn't know the park hours? Ugh...don't.get.it.

I am new to all of this, but it just doesn't make sense?

You can make dining reservations before the parks open. A lot of people like to do this so they can get in early and get pictures with out the crowds or just be in the park right at rope drop. Knowing the hours helps with planning around different activities, ie parades, fireworks, and when EMH are. Take us for example, we really want to see Fantasmic! but now that they are only doing it 2 or 3 nights a week we want to make sure we go to DHS on a day when it is showing and we want to make a dinner ressie in that park.

My question is.....what does anyone gain from joining us and then posting false info? What is the benefit from being "the troll"

Trolls just like to cause havoc. Who knows why they post what they do. :confused3 :rotfl:

My goal for Tuesday...sit down and figure out our ADR's so I am ready to go Wed. morning and then not be late for work!!!

I am sure this has been asked further back (but I have not read every single post :rolleyes1)...what time can I get on the computer in the morning to try and make ressies? If I call, they open at 7 am eastern time, correct?

Thanks!!! :goodvibes

Oh, okay. I get that part of it now.

We want to see Fantasmic! also. I think we may be okay, because many of our ADRs are at resorts (1900 PF, Chef Mickey's, 'Ohana, Whispering Canyon, etc.) So we have some flexibility with where we put DHS on the itinerary as long as it's on a day we have one of those resorts planned. But if it falls on a day we have CP, CRT, or Akershus Planned, we're screwed.

and I called Sunday about the problem of hours not being released; because, I have a sick feeling it will not happen tomorrow. From what I understand from the dining CM you will not be allowed to make ressies for events like the Fantasmic dinner package; unless, hours are up even if you are fine with the 90 day plus 10 rule. Because, Fantasmic doesn't run every night and it's not a set schedule you have to wait until the hours are out for it before making that ressie.

You can do any normal reservation with your 90 day plus 10 rule on the appropiate date.

Once hours are released you can call on that day and get those special reservations.

There are Disney guests that made reservations over the last week that affect December time and they should be able to tell us how it all works, now.

If someone finds out something different today direct from the source please let us know.

As of 10 am eastern the CM stated guest services is working on the schedule but it's not ready yet. No further info was given.

That is my goal as well. I have to have the kids at the bus stop by 7:20am AND be at work by 8am. My DH already said that he will wake up at 5:30am with me so we can get everything together and make the ADRs that we know will be hard to get. We want CRT for breakfast and Le Cellier for dinner, all my other ADRs can wait until after I get home from work.

I believe the lines for the computer opens up at 6:01am CDT (at least that is what I heard), therefore you will also be able to call about 6am CDT because both the computer and telephone lines open up at 7am EST.

I am using dreams too and they have always gotten us the adr's we wanted. I just find it is easier to let them handle the requests..they seem to get what we want each time..While my adr's are not complete ( I can begin booking them tomorrow) I have submitted my requests and I am confident that she will get us what we are looking for!!!!! Oh, by the way, I also feel like it is crazy this year! We have done this same first week in december two other times and I have never had more questions, requests than I do now!!! :):):)

I totally agree. Dreams has always been able to accomodate my requests and that was one of the reasons I liked using them. I know I am driving my agent crazy (this year even more than the previous years :rotfl:), but between the Dec. hours not being posted, Fantasmic only being held on a couple of nights and MVMCP (which we are not doing again this year), it is really difficult juggling where we want to be each day and I hate to park hop (getting too olf for that......). Also, had to juggle DD's birthday celebration and they made the CandleLight Processional more difficult this year, too!!!:scared1: He already got our Nov. requests today and I am hoping that he will get the rest, too. Then we can just relax and count the days!!:wizard:

I'm unfamiliar with the new booking system for dining. If a restaurant shows as unavailable online, can you call at 7 a.m. and possibly score a reservation?

Please tell me they aren't are going to be two weeks late in getting up park hours?...Disney knew this was coming. Especially given the short time frame ot make ADR's and for Christmas too!!!!!

The online system was opening at 5AM central, an hour before the phone line. Has this changed?

You can call-into the Disney Dining reservations line starting at 7:00am EST.
You can log onto Disney Dining reservations online starting an hour earlier, at 6:00am EST.

I just called to ask, and was told that the CMs have no way of knowing in advance when the hours are being released as they are released at the same time the CMs are told about it.

They get what we are giving them. We are all talking about the troll, and he/she is eatting it up. The best thing to do, is to shut this thread down.

We are going November 29 to December 4 and never again will I split it up in two month like this. I got 2 days planned now I have to wait for the other 4 days. I hope they are out by Friday.
