VWL Groupies & Lovers Thread (Special Collectors Edition 2.5) updated 2 February 2025

Well, it looks like Target doesn't have a lot of the stuff I need. So now I'm trying to decide if I should just do Instacart/Publix? I've never used Instacart before.

Please help. We arrive Saturday. I've been trying to place my grocery order with Walmart like last year. But they keep canceling it.

Where else can I order from? Target? I need specific items/brands for my son so Walmart and Target are probably safest since we shop at those here.

I'm stressing out.

Which Target location could I pick if I place an order with them?
Can you do Kroeger? Lots of good feedback about their grocery delivery service. Or Amazon Fresh?

I bought it for the BOGO OTU points and the ability to use points to renew my AP.
Thanks Tricia! I didn’t realize it was for AP renewals only, I thought I could use points for purchase of AP. ETA you can purchase new AP’s for 75 points, I may do this.

I have used Instacart several times there and it’s worked fine. You can choose where they will shop for your groceries, and they often have codes especially for newcomers.

Corinne...you absolutely can purchase a new AP using points. Here's a lift from the DVC website:

"Use your Points to purchase the Disney Sorcerer Pass to enjoy Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks. Get a new pass for 75 points or renew your pass for 65 points."

And if this is allowed, here's a link to the public part of the DVC website featuring the aspects of the new options.

ETA...Corinne...you were faster with your edit than I was! :)

You can use points to either purchase new or renew an AP - since I already have an AP - it’s the ability to renew that I plan to use.

What a quiet bunch of Groupies we have! Nothing for a week. Then again, it is the dead of winter with January just ending and cold, dreary February about to begin. I hope some of you have trips to the World scheduled (or anywhere, really).

Stay warm, dry, and most of all, safe. . .

Hiya Sleepy! I’m sending a PM now with the deets of my next visit! :yay:

On hold to renew Sorcerer pass. Its 2 months ahead of time which I never thought I would do, but we have a Wild Africa Trek scheduled at AK on a Fri in Apr and the day before our passes run out:rotfl2: So we have to renew so we can book a park day at AK.
20 mins on hold so far with DVC....ugghh!!

Update: After 40 mins on the phone, DVC told T that tomorrow, not today, is our 60 day mark before AP runs out. T's DW app told her today was the day. The MS CM says that happens all the time. Yet another IT quirk on Disneys part. More Ugghh!!

Here's my kid, laying on the couch as we packed up to leave.

And I have a question....do some of the rooms have the toilet behind another door while some don't? Or are they all like this? I could have sworn I saw a picture of it behind a door. We were in room 1533 (1-bedroom.)

Argggh! Jimmy, I'm sorry to hear about the long wait on hold just to be told to "call back tomorrow". We're going to be going through the same thing at the end of the month so I'll double check my math. Actually, we tend to call about 57 days in advance for no particular reason to renew our AP's . I guess to make sure my math doesn't have to be perfect! :)

Thanks for sharing all the pictures of our beloved WL and VWL. It always warms me to see those pictures on a cold winter's day.

And you are correct, some of the rooms have a separate area for the commode with a door between that space and the sink/shower. I don't know why some are like your picture and others are separated. I don't think it is the difference between a Dedicated 1BR and a Lock-Off 1BR. But I'm really not sure.

Most often our rooms have the toilet in it's own room but at least once it's been like what you show. I also don't know why but with the atrium and jog in the building there are cases where the room design is just a little different, usually with the toilet and the master bedroom closet.
