Tent loops in August

Are the tent loops less busy in August or do people mostly use pop ups?

In August, you will see tents, pop-ups, travel trailers in the tent loops.

August is HOT but it’s also one of the least expensive times to camp at the Fort.

And with the heat, @MalkaR, there is more availability.

The Tent loops are popular in the shoulder seasons ESPECIALLY on weekends in the "fall", "winter", and "spring". So your "summer" season (August) is less in demand in the Tent loops for tent campers due to the heat (although you will still have your popup and van-style folks in there).

IMO tents are manageable if you have an AC unit to use with them particularly while sleeping. It's the heat, yes, but it's also the humidity that can be an issue.

PS - we have a popup and we have NEVER been to FW/WDW in all our trips in Jun-Sep. Not so much the heat in the campground at night but more the enjoyability of the parks during the day. That's our personal choice, of course.
