General Star Wars Discussion

Andor took home five Emmy's, one from the actual broadcast:

Outstanding Production Design for a Narrative Period or Fantasy Program - Episode: Who Are You?
Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series - Dan Gilroy - Episode: Welcome to the Rebellion
Outstanding Picture Editing for a Drama Seroes - Episode: Who Are you?
Outstnading Special Visual Effects in a Season or a Movie
Outstanding Fantasy/Sci-Fi Costumes - Episode: Harvest

Dan thanked Genevieve O'Reilly, who many feel was snubbed for her performance in the very episode that Dan won for. Pretty incredible that they got one of the big ones though!

I would have put "Who Are You?" over "Welcome to the Rebellion," but either way, well-deserved!

I need to look up who beat the song "We Are the Ghor", though, because THAT should have won. :P

I think it was a song from The Boys.

Well, here's a little something to cheer up the Mon Mothma fans:

(I know that's been posted before, but it seemed like an appropriate time to watch it again. 😁 )

BTW, I just saw "Downton Abbey" and one of the trailers before it was for "The Kiss of the Spider Woman" (yes, there's a new version), and Diego Luna is one of the stars, in the role that Raul Julia did originally.

Haven't watched the Emmys in a while, but tuned in last night for a lot of it. SOOOO excited when Gilroy won. So well deserved. I do agree Who Are You was even better, but I just rewatched this arc, and great episode also. I would be more disappointed that the director didn't win too, but Slow Horses is such a great show. I was glad it was honored with something. Wish Andor could've won it all, all night, but happy it was noticed!

I'm hoping it's not set in the same place as Resistance because that was not an enjoyable show for me. I thought Levy said it's set in a time not seen before so I hope that's post ST.

It is set a few years after Episode IX.

Daniel RPK (whose scoops are sometimes correct and sometimes are not correct) reported that the new Mando & Grogu Movie Teaser or Trailer was to be released this week and is now delayed. See link below. Seems a little early for a teaser. But who knows.

8 months is the norm for most Star Wars films with the exception of Solo and Force Awakens

Rogue One’s teaser was at 8 months prior to release.

Rise of Skywalker 8 months prior

Last Jedi 8 months prior

Force Awakens was over a year prior
