*** Bay Lake Tower Owners Group***

Our first BLT trip was December 2023, also in a 2br with our DD, SIL and 2 DGDs. Could not have been happier. We do know what you mean about the bus stop. What a free for all. We usually did not have a problem, fortunately. To combat that we are doing a Split stay in November. BWV, AK and BLT. We will only take a bus to AK from AKV. We will walk or take a boat to all other resorts! We have done splits before and things usually go really smooth. This will be our first 3 way split, but we are staying for 15 days, so should not be too bad. We are really looking forward seeing the refurb. The BLT room was great, but a little tired. This trip we are going for theme park view. Hard to wait for November.
Those are my home resorts too!! Doing a 3-way split next winter.
Are you doing 5 nights each? (5, 5, 5)

Are you planning on visiting DS? If so you will need a bus unless you have a car. BLT bus will probably be the best as at that time it is most likely a dedicated one as opposed to BWV which will be shared with BCV.

We usually don't do DS. Too much like an overpriced mall. I liked it better in the old days when it was Pleasure Island and Downtown Disney with 2 bus stops. We may take a non park day and visit, then you are correct in the bus situation. However a non park day will be at Gatorland, which has become a family tradition.

Hi. Just booked a 2 bedroom preferred view (cash stay so I assume lakeview) villa for December 2025. Fingers crossed the refurbs are done, but hoping someone can recommend some room requests for partial theme park view, as I looked back at this thread and saw mentions that there are some good lakeview rooms that have partial theme park view for fireworks views? Taking my grandchildren (7 and 1) so we'll probably spend more time in the room than in prior years without an infant and would love to try to snag a fireworks/fun view! First time at BLT. Have stayed at GF studios, Poly studios, BWI one bedroom and am so looking forward to the walk to/from MK during the holidays.

Any room request suggestions and tips for BLT would be appreciated. Can't wait!!!

Actually 3 5 and 7. 3 AKV (3 br Jambo house). 7 BWV (2 parks HS and Epcot) then 5 BLT. We were going to do 5,5,5 but decided to splurge on the grand villa at Jambo, So fewer days at AKV.
Ah, very nice!!
I feel like 3 is enough nights at AK, so I would probably do something similar, maybe 3 AK, 6 & 6.

Touring Plans has lots of room request info!

I would request North End, Even Numbered Room. Depending on how far around the curve the villa is, from the balcony you’ll be able to see the lake on the right and the MK on the left.
I may have asked this before but how do you request the outside of the curve and not the inside? Is there a term they use for outside or inside?

All rooms on the outside curve have even numbered rooms. All rooms on the inside have odd numbers. North facing with even numbered room for a preferred view do have some partial MK views. We’ve had one like this before and you could see the lake to your right and MK to your left. Hope you can get that request because it’s a good one!

Like CarolynFH mentioned, using “even numbered room facing north” is how I would put in the request.

Would "high floor" be a good idea too, or not needed? Thanks for this info. I do have Touring Plans but know where to come for good expert advice!

If you are a trying to get a refurbed room then yes but by the time you go most if not all rooms should have been completed.

Thank you. I am hopeful by the end of December 2025, the refurbs are close to done, if not totally finished. I just wasn't sure if a lower floor would lessen the chance of a partial MK view.

The lowest floors - first though third or fourth, can’t remember - would be Standard view, not Theme Park or Preferred, but of course the lower you are the more your view will be of parking lot, maybe monorail. You’d still be able to see fireworks but it won’t be as impressive. I’d submit two requests and prioritize them - 1) north end, even numbered room, and 2) high floor. And I must admit, after thinking about it, that I’m not sure how far toward the north end the cutoff between Theme Park view and Preferred view is. Our 1BR ended in 08 or 10, can’t remember, and the view was amazing!

Thanks. I will do that. Seems TP's shows me (1) two bedroom ending in 02 on each floor on that north side and is labeled lake view. Certainly not a lot of two bedrooms in that outter north side curve that are two-bedrooms but worth the ask. Thanks again for the assistance. So excited to have our first stay at BLT, especially during the holidays!

If you are high enough. I got assigned second floor, could see a glimpse of lake through vegetation. I went to the front desk and got moved to a higher floor on the inside of the C, beautiful view.

I wonder if those are dedicated 2BR? Our 1BR was part of a lockoff 2BR.

Hi all. Coming back to the experts. If I have a cash reservation for BLT 2 bedroom preferred view (assuming that's lake view), would anyone know if I would only get a dedicated 2-bedroom or could I possibly get a 2-bedroom lock-off? Wondering for reasons of putting in a room request. So looking forward to this Christmas stay! Hoping all renos are done and we don't need to worry about requesting a newly refurbed room. Thank you.

December 2023 we had a 2BR dedicated preferred view. Great room, lots of space. It overlooked the pool. A lockoff is a 1br with an adjoining studio. I would put in a request for a dedicated. 3 bathrooms, lots of space. Really can't be beat. We have stayed in 2br lockoffs at BWV as this is the only 2 br there. Not as flexible, but great to have a second coffee maker!

Have you linked the reservation to MDE? If you go to disneyworld.com and login you can click on my plans and you should see it if linked.

These are two different booking categories you can't just request one vs the other.

Click on "Show Details" and it will show which one you have.

It should be a dedicated 2BR.
