Nothing official, but I do have neighbors who seem to think that every holiday is a fireworks holiday. I think they have people in the family who regularly get their hands on the illegal fireworks and will set them off whenever they get together (holidays, birthdays). Not Christmas Eve, but they set a few off last night (Christmas Day). I hate "residential" fireworks because they scare my cats.

I didn't notice any this year, but I'd imagine they're waiting for New Years like they've done in the past.

Yeah, it's not a town that does ours either. It seems there are some in my area that like to shoot them off July 4th and New Years. They've done it pretty consistently for a few years now so I know to prepare for it now. I worry more about the animals at the shelter than anything else. At least I know to expect it now and can be there to comfort them because it very much traumatizes some of them.

I've never heard of this before. We don't have any near us and I hope we never do. Big thumbs down to fireworks on Christmas Eve.

.... and this what makes our country diverse ... here on the southern border fireworks for Christmas tradition is expected... so much so that the first segment of the local news is about fireworks safety and so out of control that Mexicali has banned them and officers on patrol to arrest folks... they were the second segment of the news

I hate your neighbors. And I hate some of mine but luckily not at Christmas.

NEVER heard of Christmas fireworks (the kind in the sky). WHY? would they be a thing????

I hate "residential" fireworks because they scare my cats.

WORST thing that happened when they legalized home use for multiple reasons but especially the disturbing the peace, the pets and more until wee hours.

There were some fireworks Sunday nearby towns and my parents' house can see some good ones. It was a long show somewhere in one of valley areas.
