I feel when you get an accessible room, it’s a leftover. This room is back of ship, so big balcony! Very Happy with that.

No, not in most cases (without paying) that's why it's a a GTY rate. If you want a specific room or location, it's best to book a regular rate. You may be able to upgrade at the port, but that will basically negate any savings you got by booking the GTY rate.

We got what we booked, I'm a bit miffed that we got one of the previously classified 8C rooms but we have sailed in room 9000 before which is very similar location and it was a really great room, so I'm sure we're going to have a wonderful time.

It's the first time of us booking 2 *GT/GTY cabins in the same category (out of 5 times), and not getting connecting staterooms. Past 2 cruises on the Wonder, the same itinerary, we booked IGT and 11C respectively, and were assigned two connecting 10B (the same ones both times). This time around we booked 10C GTY, to make sure connecting staterooms were available in the category we booked - instead we were assigned two rooms 40 feet apart, and one of those connects with someone else's. Disappointing, especially considering that this wasn't a last minute booking, and we had to wait until one week out for assignment.
