I'm another one that loves Almond Joys, but I have several that are in my faves.
  • I love Reese's Pieces but despise plain M&Ms.
  • I actually love Tootsie Rolls.
  • I have to fight the kids for Kit Kats and Twix.
  • I hate Reese's Peanut Butter Cups but love their Take 5 bars.
  • I do like anything mint, but it's usually Christmas candy that meets my mint needs (Candy Cane Kisses and Lindt Mint Truffles)
  • I do really enjoy Skittles, Twizzlers and Starburst

Not a fan of "plastic" candy like skittles or starbursts. I was surprised to learn how many people on my Facebook feed don't like Whoppers. Those always have been a Halloween treat to me. And anything chocolate. My wife selected Kit Kats to give out his year. Not a fan of the type of chocolate on them, but as a diabetic hopefully I won't eat any of the leftovers.
When we moved into this house in 1983, we used to have over 100 treat or treaters. We haven't had more than 12 in the last 15 years. Aging area, with few kids. Not even kids being bussed in.

My favorite candy of all time is Nerds Rope. My dentist isn't too happy with that though 🤣

When we give out candy we tend to choose one chocolate item (usually Reese's) and one fruity item (Nerds, Starburst, etc.).

We also try to choose one "rare" candy. As a kid, I always felt like trading candy at the end of the night was so much fun. If you had an uncommon candy you had more trading power! One year we did milk chocolate Lindor and they were SUPER popular (kids have good taste these days). We did Nerds boxes a few years back and they were also very popular, because apparently not too many people give them out.

This year I bought a case of the Halloween Nerds Rope and the pumpkin-shaped Reese's cups. We considered Pokemon cards too but I was afraid of my husband starting a new hobby if we had leftovers 🤣

Reeses Peanut Butter Cups. I have them in “supposedly” the shapes of vampire bats and jack-o-lanterns but the difference between the photos on the bags and the candy is comparable to the difference in those old magazine ads for “Sea Monkeys” and the actual product.

I think there was actually a lawsuit about that. Don't know specifically how it all went down, but the packaging and candies still look the same, except this year I got a bag o' bats and I noticed on the wrapper next to the picture of the bat it says "decorating suggestion".

Just about anything chocolate, I'll pass on the rest. Happy Halloween Slo's-Poll regulars! Hope your DD's surgery was a success Sandy.:)

OH MY GOSH we have the same list!
I love Reese's Pieces (they are on my Kroger delivery to ASMusic next week... it's vacation, after all), not a fan of plain M&Ms (but I like the peanut ones).
Tootsie Rolls? That's what I bought for handing out tonight- the big bag, Child's Play, I think they call it? (DH is addicted to Dots).
I am not a big fan of chocolate (well, of course I eat it, DUH!) except for Kit Kats, but Bring On the Caramel!! Twix are my favorite "chocolate" bar!
Not a PB cup fan, but I just had my very first Take 5, and don't dare buy any more!
Mint- yes, but usually at Christmas. The Lindt balls (the white ones with peppermint or the chocolate mint ones are my favorites).
Twizzlers are practically a food group at our house, as they are DH's favorite, I think (right up there with Whoppers, Good-n-Plenty, and Swedish Fish).

Yes, @Micca... Happy Halloween to you, and all my DIS friends!

I will eat pretty much anything chocolate. My kids don’t like 100 grand, almond joy, Milky Way or snickers so I will happily take those. My favorite to steal from the kids are butterfingers. I don’t eat them any other time besides Halloween since they get stuck in my teeth, but they are so good. Also love payday and chocolate payday but don’t see them much. I always get the caramel apple lollipops to include in my Halloween candy bags to hand out but this year we are doing full size Hershey assortment boxes from Costco, so no lollipops. I might have eaten a few Hershey bars with almonds. I figure most kids won’t pick those anyway.

I love most of it!!

My absolute favorite is Reese's peanut butter pumpkins.

For the fruity stuff, I love Nerds.
