Fridays in the Fall are the time to watch high school football games. Some of us have someone in our family, or just someone we know that is a high school football player. Some of us may know someone in the band, and go to a HS game to watch the band perform at the halftime show. Some of us just like to go to a HS football game because we just enjoy it, even if we don’t know any of the players. Then there are some of us that have no desire to go to a HS football game unless we have to. Tell us where you fall in regards to this…..

Do you go to high school football games?
If yes….. do you know someone on the football team or in the band?
If no…… do you go because you are in alumni of the school or just because you enjoy watching high school football?
(multiple-choice)

For Me…… I am not a football person :sad2: The only way I’m going to a high school football game is if I have to one day to watch a grandchild. I have no nieces or nephews, but if I did and they played football, I would go watch them too. But until the day that I have a high school grandchild, I will happily stay home on a Friday night - LOL!

Not my thing either. I went to a couple of younger children's rec league games back when my nieces tried out cheerleading, but no high school ones.

I end up going regularly... not because I like football, it's because it is kind of expected of me. My mother in-law is like 80-something and still goes, DH goes with her, and my brother in-law does something with the coaching staff. As a result, we are at pretty much every home game. My step-daughter was in band/colorguard so that was part of why we used to go. She graduated, and we are still going :rotfl2:

I love football. My sons all played when they were in high school. I loved going to their games. I still watch a good college football game on TV and NFL on Sunday.

I don't like football. I don't go to any games or watch any anywhere.
I went to a few in high school because it was a social event.

I do not go and the the last time I went I was cheerleader in high school. Honestly I find it strange that anyone would go if they did not have kids that played. Although I suspect it’s regional. I’m from New England and it’s not a part of culture.

I went to a few games while kids were in band. But it was seeing the band, not the game.

Now we have a grandkids in football but only middle school level.

I've never been to a high school football game, even when I was in high school.

Me neither!

It's big in Texas. You can drive through Texas and see a big stadium and be like, "Which college plays there?" Yeah, it's a high school! 🤣

No interest in football, but we live down the street from a high school that regularly takes the state champ title. They won a game a couple of weeks ago 72-0.

I went to one high school football game when I was in high school, and that has been it. My high school didn't have a football team. Neither did my college.

High school football games are on Saturday afternoon around here. I haven’t been to one since DS was in HS and played in the marching band.

No, I don’t go to HS football games.

The last time I went was over a decade ago to watch my nephew.

I think I've gone to 2 halves of HS football games in my life - one, the second half of a game my one son's freshman year when we went to pick him up at the game and the second was to watch my niece in her HS band (she was color guard).

We didn't have a football team in my HS growing up (they do now), so it wasn't a thing we did in HS either.

My high school didn't have football either. I mean, we had a team, but.... 🤣 Let's just say that all the trophies had been out for cleaning. For a while. 😁

Only time I have ever attended a h.s. football game was when I was in h.s. to watch my team or when someone was on the team I knew. No interest in going to watch people I don't know.

Not a football girlie but do attend a few times a season to support my students on the team.
