Quarantine and chill and kindness chatty clubhouse: Jump in and join the conversation! All is welcome!

Thank you dear Footballmouse for sharing a lovely picture of your Christmas tree. Hugs my friend and extra prayers as you embark on a new job. Dad went to Ralph's earlier (I know you shop at Kroger) and I thought of and wanted to give you a very pricey and unwelcome eggs heads up. A dozen eggs are back to costing $6.49! I will keep an eye out for sales! Overall, we sure are grateful so much for Ralphs especially because most of our preferred products are Kroger brand.

Extra thank you tonight to all of my dear Quacker family for you and your constant faith, support, and love. I appreciate each of you so deeply.

Sweet dreams later to all.
Why are eggs so expensive there :( I buy Eggland's Best and even those aren't that much !

Good morning. It never did rain yesterday like they said it would. Today we're going to be 57 with sun. I'll take it!
My Christmas tree has a remote where I can change the speed of the lights, and change to about 20 different colors or have multi. It's too hard to try and take a picture of it with the lights flashing, lol. I did all my Wizard of Oz ornaments on it this year in honor of Wicked. I used to switch themes every year with my Hallmark ornaments. I have cats, bears, snowmen, Disney, etc, but I haven't used the Wizard of Oz ones since I met Don, so I used them this time. I have some iridescent balls on it in 2 sizes , iridescent garland and added some crystal beads to it this year. I'll try and get a picture, but I don't guarantee it, lol
I need to gather trash and take it down and make a grocery list for tomorrow. The holiday being on a Wednesday next week is going to throw me off. No way am I going on Tuesday the day before, so it may be Sunday or Monday just to pick up a few last minute things.

Walmart confuses me. I placed an order for 3 items to be delivered from the store. I got 3 different emails, saying each of them was delayed. I got on a chat to question it, and she said they would all be here by tomorrow at the latest, and she gave me a $15 promo code (which pays for one of the items). I got a text at dinnertime that one of them was on the way and the driver would be here within 10 minutes. I had to go out and wait for the driver when I got the text notification just to make sure that it didn't get left next door, since it was a gift for them, lol! This morning I got 2 Fed Ex emails that said both of the other items are out for delivery. I don't get it. All 3 of these items were in stock at the store, so why do they waste money paying Fed Ex to deliver them? So wasteful and then I have to recycle 2 more boxes that will be 3x bigger than they need to be. Amazon is just as bad. I got a small item, that was in a box that would have held at least 20 of them.

Off to get myself moving. Have a good day.

Glad you got some sleep, @flyingdumbo127!

The Nellie's Free Range are about that much near me, but definitely not the store brand ones!

That sounds fun!!

Update on my Fed Ex pkgs. 2 girls delivered 3 boxes to my porch. I knew what 2 of them were and when I lifted the huge one, I knew it was the litter, but it was in a Fed Ex box and not just the usual litter box with the handles. I opened the box, to find out that the box the litter was in looked like it was wet, the top was ripped open the side was split and the bottom was falling off the box. I got on the phone to Walmart customer assistance and raised you know what. She says "Return it to the store. " My reply was I am not lifting a broken open 40 lb box of litter in a big Fed Ex box to take it back to the store." "Throw it out and we'll refund you." "I'm not carrying that box down the driveway to the street and leaving it for the trashman to pick up. Send Fed Ex back to get it."
"We can't do that." "Fine, then I'll stop buying anything from Walmart if that's the way you treat customers." "We'll give you a full refund and a $15 credit. Would that satisfy you?" "That I can accept, thank you." There's a plastic bag between the box and the litter, and I was able to scoop about 1/2 of it the litter that hadn't gotten wet out and put it in an empty box that I had from the last batch of litter. Between Walmart and Amazon and their lousy customer service these days, I don't know which is worse :(

Lynn So sorry about the lousy delivery services. I can't believe they expected you to clean up the mess. At least you did get refunded and a credit.

Flyingdumbo So glad you got some sleep.

Good morning. It is 35 here to day with temps heading into the 40s. It will be rainy at some point. Kenny and his GF bought a new car, a highlander hybrid. They say they need a car with more room but a car for 7? I am guessing they are planning an addition of their own in the near future. I feel like they are rushing things but the clock is ticking I guess. I have mixed emotions about it all. Yesterday I did walk at the lake as it was a lovely day for it. The sprinkler inspection guys came early in the day so that got done. I did some errands. Today I have salt therapy which I so much need. It will be nice to relax and meditate for 45 minutes.

Off to another crazy day at work.

Have a good day.

Good morning. Mid 40 here, and rain expected. It will be a quiet day. Tom didn’t sleep well, he will bring Gus to vet to have Gus’s ears rechecked.

I heard from my DSis, the cruise is over. Bad weather, winds. They didn’t make it into DCL’s new private island. She says the cruise had challenges. I will learn more later.

Today I will decorate with some of the cards we have received. I like seeing them hanging up. We have two birthdays coming up. Grandson Jack will be 21 tomorrow and his Sister, Megan will be 22 on Christmas Eve. Both of them work in a hospital and we won’t see them on Christmas, but their Sister and Dad will be in Cape May with us! Other son and his family will be here! Something great to look forward to!

Wishing everyone a good day!

Hugs Snowysmom and sleep thank you. Prayers the salt therapy is peaceful my friend.

Hugs Bobbi and sleep thank you, too. What a great card display idea :) Happy family Birthdays.

Good morning dear friends. I did get extra sleep yesterday which was such a blessing. Last night/early this morning I've mostly bern up. God willing I will sleep as I normally do after breakfast. Dad will be mailing some of my Christmas cards out this morning. More to come. I apologize for the late start. We have indeed had a lot going on.

Dad and I are both looking for slippers (I think they are called slide slippers) without a back. Dad had been wearing very thin slippers that weren't protecting his feet from our hard floors. He put on his usually worn outdoor version of slide slippers that has thankfully made a huge difference. I have also noticed my right heel (I wear a slipper with a hard low back on this foot) has been sore too. I am thinking dad has the right idea with looking into the slide slippers. I am also going to look into slippers that ideally have a padded inside heel. I probably would do better with a back.
Last thing I need is sorer feet! I would appreciate any Amazon suggestions. Keep in my mind my poor feet are still a bit swollen. Thank you all as always. Wednesday hugs with love to all.

Good chilly morning. After our 62 degree day yesterday, it went down to 26 overnight with a frost. Going to be 43, but calling for rain after noon time. The weather just can't make up it's mind.

I'm heading for the market shortly. Going to try to get everything I need so I won't have to make a trip next week. If I run out of something, there's a Dollar General a minute away.

Summer has a terrible toothache and they can't pull it until Monday. Her rheumatoid arthritis is weakening her bones, including her teeth. If it's not one thing, it's another.

Off to get in the shower so I can get out of here and beat the Wed. crowds

Have a good day everyone

Summer sadly sure does have a lot going on dear Lynn. Prayers indeed. A Dollar type store that close would be great. Dad and I miss our 99 Cent Only Store which was 5+ minutes away. I hope you get all needed shopping done.

Hugs for Summer, Lynn. :flower3:

On a desk between our living room and kitchen, we have this desktop tree. It has a small train and active figures. We got it years ago at Costco.
