Remy Single Rider open

Not really. Anyone gets “ugly” at Disney and they’ll learn real quick how their ticket has $0 value without Disney’s consent.
I have had people's children sat with me on Dwarfs Mine Coaster and the parents are usually the ones upset about it. I have had some get upset and ask for their child to be sat in their own row. Same for Big Thunder. I am not sure what they expect Disney to do when there are 2 parents and 3 children. I do not like it either because we live in a day and age where everybody is a victim of something and false accusations seem to come easy. I just ride with my hands up the entire time so that any parent behind me can see my hands and so can Disney's videos.

The only time I do not like being sat with a "stranger" is when they are in my seat or they smell like they have not showered all week, which sadly the latter is common in theme parks, regardless of time of year. I have had people get mad that I was sat with them on Test Track and they complained about it, where I could hear it, the entire ride.

This was a one off experience for me as I never had anything else come close -

We were party of 3 for RotR. They added a single rider to our back row. That guy was well over 6’3” and 300lbs. He appeared perfectly clean but covered in sweat head to toe and heavy BO. Every square inch of skin and clothes drenched in sweat. He had no choice but to physically overlap about 25% into my seat. 17 minute ride - it distracted me the entire time. I scooched over and smooshed my family on the other side. Didn’t help. I still exited the ride soaked from another person’s sweat. I don’t even let my own husband do that to me lol.
I would have said something to the CM. I get it that they are asked to fill the vehicles, but common sense on the CMs part was completely lacking.

Plus, this would have causes my gag reflexes to go into overdrive, if not just vomit. :(

SR Remy didn’t open until 9:30am when I hit it Thursday.

During EE the France CM holding the sign said 9am so a bit before 9am I got in the SR line. 9am they opened LL but not SR. There was a red-shirt manager type CM standing in front of SR that then told people it was 9:30. When people said the other CM said 9am she just replied back it opens at 9:30am. I left and asked another France CM when SR opened and she replied 9am so I think they’re experimenting around with the opening time.

I left the line, shopped in France, got champagne and came back just before 9:30. They opened SR at 9:30am and I waited about 5-10 mins.

And Disney is upping ride capacity elsewhere too. On POTC, Na’vi and Frozen as a solo rider I was sat with 2 other people, previously Disney only paired me with 1 other rider. However, they never put me in a group of 4 so I was never shoved up against a stranger.

Has anyone recently at Epcot seen the Single Rider Line for Remy being used?

When traveling by myself, I have always been seated alone on a ride, unless a single rider lane existed. Do they now stick all single people with other riders? What rides have actual Single Rider lines? Or can anyone alone in stand-by get seated quicker because the CM will put you right in with someone else?

Disney did that during Covid. They stopped that over the last couple years and have returned to normal. All single people ride with others now across the parks.
Even if you aren’t single Disney will place different parties together to fill ride seats. Remy is 3 to a row. In my experience in Dec Na’vi River, POTC and Frozen is 4 people within your party or 3 people if mixed parties.

SR and standby/LL lines are treated the same seating wise. CM will just ask the standby/LL first if there are single riders and then fill from the SR line.

Na’vi River seems too narrow for 4 adults. POTC and Frozen seem wider.

Do you know which rides have an actual single rider line?

Test Track (note - closed for lengthy refurb)
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster
Expedition Everest
Milennium Falcon Smuggler's Run (note - you will nearly always be in an Engineer seat)
Rise of the Resistance (sometimes - they have been testing it)
Remy's Ratatouille Adventure (fairly new and may not always be on offer)

I'll share my odd experience with the single rider line. My first time using it, the cast members used it like you'd expect. I sat with two strangers after waiting maybe 5 minutes. The second time I rode, the line was moving slower. When I got to the front, they would group single riders into sets of 6. Every few cycles, they would put 6 of us in our own dedicated rat. They weren't filling the empty spaces. It seemed like the grouper was new or didn't normally work the ride, but I'm not sure.

We go every year. A few years ago, it was just DH & I, I don't remember which year. But we were put in with another couple in the front row on Navi. We were surprised, but it worked out.

Several years ago, we were with my SIL & BIL. It was a time when PoTC had literally just re-opened with a soft opening after the big refurb. We hurried up to get in line because I think it was our last night. Anyway, they put the 4 of us in with another guest. It was super tight. Lol

The last time I went alone was several years ago. I had a whole bench in Pirates and Small World. I was sensitive about being alone and would have PREFERRED to sit with someone else!

Curious what will happen with my family and the boat rides. There are four of us and we ask for two rows. We aren’t massive, but we are bigger people and it’s just so much more comfortable.

Even with remy. I’m not sure how much room a third person would have beside us. Guess we will find out. I have no issue with someone sitting beside me, but there is a comfort issue there.

I think that if you ask politely, as I'm sure you normally do and as we did, there won't be a problem.

For boat rides, it depends on the ride and crowd. I usually get the last row to myself on pirates or small world but paired with another solo or group of 2 on Frozen. I've been paired with a group on Navi River Journey once, and it was tight. I forget the total number, but it felt like the most you can fit in a row.

This past fall my mom and I were only placed just the two of us in just about every ride—even in MFSR it was just the two of us. I wonder if I’m the boats it’s because we were both using scooters and have some mobility issues?🤷‍♀️ Maybe because it was the “slower” season?

Last week during EEH at MK, I had an entire boat to myself on PotC, and the boats in front & behind me were empty also.

I did SR for Remy one day, and the couple I was paired with seemed mildly surprised or maybe annoyed at first, but the 3 of us were all relatively skinny so it wasn't uncomfortable.

After failing to rope drop Frozen one morning because of a delayed opening, I went to Remy, but the SR wasn't open then. By that time, there was such a long line for Remy that I went elsewhere. Another time I tried to ride Remy SR, the ride had just gone down and everybody was exiting the lines.
