Hallmark Movies ❤️ comfort & joy

Good news about The Way Home:

"Where Can You Watch ‘The Way Home’ Season 3?
The new season was initially slated to air exclusively on Hallmark’s streaming service, Hallmark+, but has since changed.
In December, the network announced that “due to overwhelming demand,” The Way Home will air on Fridays at 9 p.m. ET on Hallmark Channel. New episodes will be available on Hallmark+ the next day. :woohoo:

I bet the new-ish Hallmark CEO, got an earful of complaints when it was announced The Way Home would only stream on a channel most of us have no interest in paying for. We are all sunshine, roses and candy canes until they mess with the TV programming.

They made a second, weird scheduling decision. The Way Home marathon will be on HM&M, not the Hallmark Channel, as they didn't want to mess with airing non-stop Christmas movies on the Hallmark Channel.

Schedule:
The marathon for The Way Home, Seasons 1 & 2 on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, 2pm - 12am ET, on Dec 31 (Season 1) and Jan 1 (Season 2.)

Then, :teleport: The Way Home, Season 3 will premiere on Friday, Jan 3 at 8pm ET/PT, 7CT on the Hallmark Channel.

Just finished watching the new episode! - I thought we used to have a thread about the series, but can't seem to find it. Does anyone else have it bookmarked?

I thought we just kind of talked about it here and tried to put any spoilers in the Spoiler box. OR just wrote SPOILER! and then added several rows of empty space before talking about the show, to warn others. :scratchin

I still haven't finished Season 2 so I can't join in on the conversations yet. :headache:

One detail about the SCHEDULING of The Way Home:
(No spoiler.)

The episodes do NOT re-air during the week. If you miss the episode or miss DVRing it, the only way to see the episodes are to watch it On Demand on Hallmark+, or wait for one of the weekend marathons Hallmark sometimes schedule. They just did a marathon on New Years Eve, so another one won't be for a while.

I finally watched The Holiday Junkie from Lifetime.
I thought this was going to be a happy, fun movie, but instead it dealt with grief, guilt, and loneliness.

It was so well done! I was shocked, and realized this was a passion project for Jennifer Love Hewitt, who starred, directed, and produced.
Lifetime had a lot of dreck this year, but this movie was a cut above 🥰🥰

Thanks! - I refined my search to this thread and found the old post I was thinking of!! (I wanted to compare a guess I'd made to something in the episode I just watched.)

Holiday Touchdown irked me at first. I felt they were pushing non- actors on us that “always wanted to be in a Hallmark Movie,” and got their wish. But then the storyline was pretty good. Green Bay Packers honor a number one fan of the year. The winner is usually someone that has been a Season Ticket holder, been to the Ice Bowl, which was the Championship game in 1967. And they usually have a pretty good back ground story.

I re-watched Aisle Be Home for Christmas. Angela's Supermart, the store where most of this movie takes place, still reminds me of Kmart. Yes I still miss Kmart. I enjoyed how all present became closer friends. They were indeed so blessed to have snow storm refuge with one another inside a warm and fully stocked, inuding couches and food, store.

I have never lived in snow country. I pray for any of you who do or have that should inclement weather ever be near you while out, that your experience is as safe, festive, and meaningful as was that of the characters in this movie.

So many people have been losing their homes in the California fires. In terms of Hallmark stars, Cameron Mathison has totally lost his home. He showed a video where it was leveled down to the ground by the fire. He said, had he known the devastation would be so total, he might have tried to grab an extra suitcase of baby pictures or something like that. :sad1:

Prayers indeed for the Mathisons and all impacted by the fires. Devastating and heartbreaking. Dad and I, about an hour from Disneyland, are fine. We did have some very strong winds that caused a couple of power outages. Thank God we were and are safe. Mobility as some of you know is precarious right now for me. Electricity is crucial. Extra hug and safety prayers to all.

I thought I'd share something from this morning that made me laugh. This meme rolled across my Facebook feed this morning from the Carolina Weather Authority. I grew up in the South so I know how rare a big snow is to the region.

Up until a couple of days ago, my onscreen tv guide had this as a 2008 Charles Shaughnessy movie. 🍿 I’m so glad I noticed this changed! I wasn’t going to record it and I couldn’t figure out what Hallmark was doing 😂😂

YAY! Christmas movies are done! (Don't get me wrong... love them, but glad to move on to new movies.)

Polar Opposites was really good last night! First, this movie grabbed me with the end of that first scene. I thought one of the penguins was attacked! Second, this was a pretty good script and the actors did a great job. Rhiannon was quite amusing in several scenes on the cruise ship. I also like when they go to different locations to shoot the movies. I found this info on where the movie was filmed:
According to IMDb, Polar Opposites was filmed in Patagonia and Ushuaia, Argentina. Ushuaia, known as the End of the World, is a popular gateway to Antarctica. The city's striking landscapes set the perfect backdrop for Emma's adventure in the movie.
This movie did not convince me to visit Antartica, but it made for some great views. :)

I'm really surprised that they filmed so far away. 😲 I know they've done some other location shoots like to South Africa for Lacey Chabert's safari movie. But, that's for Lacey, one of their golden stars, and whom they probably spare no expense for one of her movies. And Hallmark has done a few movies that shot in Brussels and some other parts of Europe. But, since they've also shot some movies in Canada pretending they are parts of national parks in the U.S., I'm surprised they didn't just film up in the Northwest Territories somewhere and pretend it was close to Antarctica.

I watched A Carpenter Christmas Romance. The pacing was a bit slow as they were trying to be dramatic, rather than light fluff. I would have preferred the pacing of the last 5 minutes at the end as they were trying to wrap things up, for the whole movie. It did end nicely.

As for the spicy scenes, they weren't hot and steamy like the TV shows Scandal or Grey's Anatomy. But, they did have a few scenes where they were talking in bed before and after. And the sister asked once how was it. So, this isn't a movie one would want to watch with the kids.
I agree, I tried to watch this and frankly I was bored and ended up fast-forwarding a lot because the pacing was just too slow.
