Key to Disneyland – Available Starting May 16, 2025

Embark on a journey to unlock magical surprises—including a special keepsake—during the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration!

Seek Surprises from Land to Land

For nearly 70 years, the lands of Disneyland Parkhave been collecting magic—and Mickey Mouse needs your help to unlock the festivities for the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration.

With the Key to Disneyland, you’ll unleash hidden magic in each land. Plus, unlock a commemorative trading pin at the end of your journey!

How It Works

  1. Purchase your Key to Disneyland at select shops in Disneyland Park or at World of Disney in the Downtown Disney District.
  2. Explore Disneyland Park, looking for the 70th Celebration lock station in each land. Insert your Key to Disneyland into each lock to reveal an icon, light effect and music for that land on your key.
  3. Unlock magic in all 9 lands in Disneyland Park. Upon completion, find the Mickey Topiary Finale lock station by the entrance to Disneyland Park (near the Newsstand and tunnel), where your key will unlock more surprises—including 1 of 9 commemorative trading pins!
Lock Station Locations

Find a 70th Celebration lock station in each of these locations:

Play at Your Own Pace

This activity can be completed at your leisure, during the course of the 70th Celebration. Unlock all the magic in one day—or spread out the fun across multiple park days. The key will save your progress, so you can pick up where you left off.

Know Before You Go

  • Commemorative trading pins are not available for separate purchase.
  • The Key to Disneyland and associated trading pins are not refundable, exchangeable or returnable.
  • Intended for ages 4 and up
  • Theme park reservations and valid admission for Disneyland Park are required for entry.
  • The Key to Disneyland interactive park experience will only be available during the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration—starting May 16, 2025.

They show a picture of a child holding the key. I wonder what age their target audience is. I can see it being like popcorn buckets with a bunch of adults running around the park with keys around their neck. :rotfl:
True- only states intended for ages 4 and up

I didn't realize how big the key is until read your reply/link

I can't get any link to work? Does it say how much it costs? That key is HUGE!
My kids would enjoy this.

There are bubbles in the picture. I wonder if it blows bubbles as well. They definitely need a lanyard for it.

I wonder if the picture is a general bubble wand they'll sell for the 70th or if part of actual key program for trading pin sets advertised on link.
*otherwise like mentioned people will buy 9+ of those to try and collect all pins 😂🤣

Oh totally. The influencers will be elbowing the kids out of the way to get the quest finished the first day (edited to add. More like in the first hour of release. It’s always a race who reports on it first!) and then will buy more keys to get all of the commemorative pins. Just watch.

I was thinking the exact same thing.

When I first started reading it I assumed that it would be a magic band interactive thing. It would be a (good) way to get more guests to purchase them.
If it was I would buy one...but buy something that only works for a year? No Thanks

Universal is much smarter about this kinda stuff the Wands have as much use if not more in the HP area then before and Disney is over here ignoring Magic Bands and making those feel like just a waste of money

And yet another cash grab for powers that be....just wish they would funnel some of that toy-popcorn bucket-trinket money back into some entertainment....😞
Please surprise us with a summer show at the Hyperion....

I’d be happy for them to use the space for ANYTHING at this point
If not a show put some meet and greets in there - something! Anything!!
