Does anyone have recent experience using Go Port Canaveral upon disembarking to return to MCO? I am hoping to use it in August to get to MCO where we will then board the Magical Express bus to Art of Animation. Thanks!

Is there a reason why you want to do this? Going from port to MCO to WDW will be at least twice as long a trip as just using DCL transfers directly from port to your resort.

Oh, can you tell me more about this option? Price, how would I book? I didn't know it was an option.

DCL transfers are bookable by calling DCL and adding them. It's $39.00 per person each way (MCO to port; port to MCO; port to WDW resort; WDW resort to port - whichever trips you want).

If you used a Travel Agent to book your cruise, the TA will need to be the one to make the call.

EDIT: had wrong price.

The DCL transfers from the port to WDW usually don't leave until 9am. That's sometimes an issue for people, like me:wave2:

I take that to mean you prefer to leave earlier. What method of transport would you recommend? Also, I don't recall a typical disembarking time. I do recall breakfast at 6:45 or so.

We usually disembark after first seating breakfast about 6am, so disembarked around 6:45am. Sitting on the bus for an hour and a half was not much fun last time. Our bus didn't actually leave until about 9:30am. For the money, it might not be a big deal to most people. I think we will try a town car next time. We haven't done this before though, and it will be more expensive than the DCL transfer cost. If you are going to the airport, then the buses pretty much leave as soon as they are full. That's what we did the first time, so we weren't expecting to have to sit around on the bus for so long.
