Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

We were by the elevators our last 2 trips and honestly, we were not bothered at all. You’ll hear the elevator chime if it’s quiet and occasionally people talking coming off, but the amount of people on the CL floor during our past stays were minimal. Never an issue. Enjoy!
@mrsap , thank you! I hope to be on the CL floor (will request) but see that these suites are on floors 3-15 and that one configuration wraps around the elevator bank. So glad to hear you had a good experience, appreciate your expert input (yet again!!!).

We're long time BWI CL fans. Once a year, first week of December. Due to hip replacements 6 weeks apart, starting in November, we had to move our December trip to February. We check in Tuesday! Deluxe room. The food and drinks are fine...but it's the staff that really makes the BWI CL worth every penny. If you don't see something, just ask and they will find it. Being newly refurbished, it's really clean and bright. You can't go wrong...I truly believe it's the best CL on Disney property.
We check in Wednesday!

I am hoping some of the experts here can give me some insight on the following question: how does the club level at DL Grand California compare to the club level experiences at WDW?

The family and I are planning our first ever DL trip for later this year. I have tons of questions that I am sure I will post on the Board later. But first question for us is deciding where to stay. My partner really wants this resort, so we are staying at Grand California. But we are undecided about whether to splurge for the club level. At WDW, we get club level rooms about 80% of the time. So, what are your opinions of the club level at DL and how does it compare to the club levels at WDW? Thanks!
I posted about GCH CL in July of this year - I don’t have those images on my phone anymore or would re-post, but they are buried here. I will say out of the gate that I am a WDW person and biased, but I thought this was pretty awesome. I don’t do much breakfast but recall it being more heavy continental. Mid-day offerings were definitely more substantial than current ones anywhere at WDW. Evening items were great. No self-pour alcohol, but they weren’t stingy. I am jonesing for Disney and don’t know if I’ll be back to FL before May (I live a couple hours from
DL) so I was looking around - saw DLH has a current note about E-ticket club closures, I know GCH has the other club happening, but I didn’t see anything about disruptions. I personally think GCH is the closest to WDW-like you can get in terms of a resort, DLH feels very much like a random hotel to me.

The new GCH CL is being built across the hall from the current one, I would not expect the current one to close during construction at all.

Nice to hear evening apps are good again! My fam did a big trip in Apr ‘22 and the apps for 3 out of 4 nights were skewers, quite disappointing. (I chalked it up to Covid as DL’s ops were still very much being affected by the ripple effects in CA at that point, but I hadn’t followed up on the current situation to be sure as we shifted to WDW.)

We booked a water view room and added club level access. It all worked out great.
Glad you had a great visit at the WL. Was your CL add-on still $149 per night? Did you notice any work ramping up on the Cascades side of the lodge as they prepare for the refresh of the entire south side of the lodge?

Yes it

was still $149 per night. They were working on the exterior of the club lounge and the entire section. We saw them painting the balcony railings on that side.

Our stay at CR Tower Club Level in a few weeks is not to be. Had a call this evening that construction on the roof above has resulted in a move to Atrium Club TPV. Our first night is comped, our guaranteed rate has been honored plus they will give us 4 $100 Disney cards. I accepted because I love the location of the resort for the Princess Half Marathon but disappointed that I won’t get to experience Tower Club and that balcony for our room. The last time I did the PHM was also Atrium Club in 2017.

I’m really sorry to hear that. We were also moved from TC because of maintenance work in September. I had no desire to stay Atrium Club, so I asked if GF RPC might possibly be available with the discount we had. The CM had to check with someone else & they were able to move us there. We dded a trip at Christmas & were lucky to get TC for that stay. I hope you’ll get another chance at TC soon.

Ugh, sorry to hear that and that the roof work is still occurring. I had a similar experience there last month. Won’t make you feel any better, but only thing I’ll say is at least they’re dealing with it in advance for you. 😶

Before my experience I incorrectly thought that crane that’s been at CR for a bit was doing BLT and BLT bridge work, but it’s actually for CR roof replacement.

Room issue aside, I hope you otherwise have a great Princess Half Marathon weekend!

I remembered you reporting here about being moved but didn’t think fast enough to ask about GF. I’m actually grateful that they kept us at CR since so much of my planning for the week was using that as my home base. My husband met a gentleman at our local Elks Club about 10 years ago who raved about TC so that has been a goal stay for us. We will get there someday.

I’m really grateful to know in advance and was quite surprised that the immediately offered a comp for one night plus gift cards. I can only imagine the shock of being told of the move upon arrival.
Thank you for the well wishes on the PHM weekend! In 2017 I said never again. Oops. 😀

This picture was posted on FB by Tim Kraszewski this morning. They are priming the roof for painting at WL.

I'm sorry that happened to you. It stinks when you have everything planned and then have to change things up. I'm glad you were able to get notified in advance and the compensation seems reasonable.

We have a stay in Tower CL Resort King room in April, and I'm getting nervous with all of the cancellations I've been hearing about. I think I need to be mentally prepared for a possible move.

I hope you have an amazing trip coming up!

I just booked a 2 bedroom theme park view suite.

EDIT: found the map. Looks like it’s just the one room, any info to know about it?
Someone had shared a layout map of tower club before but I can’t find it does anyone have it? I’m wondering where this room is and how many of them there are?

Also, how do they handle allergies in the lounge? My daughter is allergic to eggs and we haven’t gone to a buffet or club lounge with her before.

Also editing to add I saw there’s problems with the roof? Our trip is end of March, should I reconsider this room? We have another room booked I was planning to cancel but now wondering if I should cancel this instead?
