Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend 2025

So many times, I meet people who hear about runDisney

This actually happened with W&D. At first. I had no idea if I was going to be off that weekend. Then, when I figured I was off, the races were long since sold out. So I've been stalking the registration page, and got real lucky last week. But this entire system, unless you're on at 10:00 on registration day, is just getting real lucky.

Less than a week until race time! For packet pick-up, it mentions "Your Expo Check-in Pass is required to pick up your bib for each event in which you are participating." Likewise, it says to show your check-in pass to get $10 parking for the expo. Did we get the expo check-in pass somewhere? Just searched my email and couldn't find anything.

Edit: whoops, thought this was the Halloween thread. Sorry! Will post there.0

Will be curious to see how Halloween goes. I’m in regardless. But will be interesting to see how they shift things. Especially since they’re expecting a hot one

Wow, threw me for a loop as I was sure I was on the thread for Disneyland HALF. Forutnately I popped on the runDisney site and realized you were talking about the Halloween run.

The Halloween half map looks very close to the DL half from this past January. The biggest difference is this weekend's course doesn't run around Honda Center between miles 9 and 10, and then some restriging of the course between 10-11.

Plus we physically went into and out of Angels this time. Instead of going around. Which you kinda references with the changing of the course. But feel like it really should be pointed out.

Halloweens weekends races were by far the better courses in my opinion. And I’m hoping they don’t change them too much for January outside of the obvious for the truck rally at the stadium.

Should we be seeing medals soon? It's been about a month since the Disney World Marathon Weekend medal reveal.
I came here to comment on this. Last year, they released the medal designs on September 18th. Granted, this year the race weekend is three weeks later, but I fully expected to see the designs by now. Maybe next Monday? It seems that they normally do medal reveals on Monday. I'm so ready to see them!

I think it would be soon. Perhaps especially because there might also be interest if they reveal the 2025 Coast to Coast design. I know this year's C2C medal(s) were met with mixed reviews so I wonder if they'll make any changes for 2025.

At this point, I'm wondering if they're going to do C2C at all. I haven't seen anything that definitively indicates it will still happen. The language on the C2C page says "beginning in 2024," so hopefully it continues. I just haven't seen anything on 2025.

I think they have to announce the 2025 "season" first, which, if they follow the trend from last year, should be coming fairly soon. Then, if they're still doing CTC, they can explain how to qualify for it, and hopefully it would be more simplified than what they did for 2024.

To add to this, Dumbo is clearly a spinner, and the half medal *looks* like it should have some sort of feature but can't tell what it could be. 5k and 10k don't look like they have anything fancy at first glance.

If the half medal has any sort of movement, I would bet that Mickey would slide right to left.

This would make sense. I was trying to find a slider hole, or any indication that the Mickey portion was "raised" for a slider or spring but it's harder to tell with this one and they didn't mention any movement in the blog, which they sometimes do.

That said, really wouldn't mind if the medals didn't have movement!
