Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend 2025

I think they have to announce the 2025 "season" first, which, if they follow the trend from last year, should be coming fairly soon. Then, if they're still doing CTC, they can explain how to qualify for it, and hopefully it would be more simplified than what they did for 2024.

I think 2024 was only complicated because of the special back to back Coast to Coast medal for those running Marathon Weekend and Disneyland Half Marathon weekend the following weekend.

Which in turn led to more confusion because that opened up the possibility to earn 2 C2C medals provided you ran the back to back Coast to Coast and 1 other eligible Coast to Coast distance on each coast. It didn't help matters much that when they unveiled the 2024 C2C medals, they did not state which one was the special back to back medal. That didn't even become clear until the Disneyland Expo when they had the other Coast to Coast medal on display with non Marathon Weekend Disney World races.

Before this year, it was pretty simple. Finish a Half Marathon or higher on each coast during the calendar year and you receive the medal. No additional registration necessary.

If the half medal has any sort of movement, I would bet that Mickey would slide right to left.

I think that's it the more I look at it. There may well appear to be some movement ability.

I would rank the medals as follows:

1. Half Marathon
2. Dumbo Double Dare
3. Kids Race
4. 5K
5. 10K. Just not a fan of the character so there was not much they could do to get me interested in the medal.

Overall, I'm not a huge fan of the unusual colors they used in the medals on the characters. Leads to some unusual shadows that impact how the medals turned out.

I'm running the 5K with them for Disneyland and the 5K for Princess. They've been great so far!

Soooo, newbie here to DL. I collect the runDisney shoe ornaments for each run. As much as I love the merch, I really have no use for ANOTHER water bottle or magnet. What are the chances that when I get to the expo (planning on Friday) there will be DL Half shoe ornaments on the shelves?

I was able to get a shoe ornament Friday afternoon this past Halloween weekend, so hopefully they will still have stock for you!

So I assume course maps aren't released until a month or so before race weekend? Is there any reason to believe the courses will be significantly different than last year? It looks like there were slight changes to the 10k course from January HM weekend to the Halloween race weekend, but start and finish were at the same place. Was trying to get more info before actually booking a hotel.

I would operate under the assumption that there is no change to the start and finish at this point. For the January races they sent out an email in October announcing the new start and finish locations, I suspect because people assumed that the start area was going to be where it was before covid and booked hotels accordingly. Needless to say the announcement was annoying for some people and great for people who had booked hotels close to that lot.

Thanks for the reminder! I logged on exactly when dining reservations were available this morning to try to get a Fantasmic dining package for Blue Bayou. None showing as available (calendar blacked out) so I scrolled up to grab a Blue Bayou regular reservation (it populated a bunch of times right at 8:00 my time) and every single reservation for the entire day was snagged in less than a minute. Super frustrating.

None showing as available (calendar blacked out) so I scrolled up to grab a Blue Bayou regular reservation (it populated a bunch of times right at 8:00 my time) and every single reservation for the entire day was snagged in less than a minute. Yeah, both 2/1 and 2/2 were crossed out, which was puzzling. I set an alert for a package lunch on 2/2 just in case something pops back up, but at least for now I have a Blue Bayou lunch reservation. It's my favorite!

We're going pretty light on dining reservations this trip. We have a late Lamplight Lounge lunch for six of us on Friday and then Saturday my mom and I are doing Napa Rose Chef's Counter to celebrate me finishing the 5k and 10k/my birthday. I'm very excited that Lunar New Year is overlapping with this trip! The booths were pretty good last year and I'll have more time to try everything instead of attempting to eat everything in a day.
