I'm excited that Lunar New Year overlaps as well! The pics and videos looked so cool last year and I've never gotten to go.We're going pretty light on dining reservations this trip. We have a late Lamplight Lounge lunch for six of us on Friday and then Saturday my mom and I are doing Napa Rose Chef's Counter to celebrate me finishing the 5k and 10k/my birthday. I'm very excited that Lunar New Year is overlapping with this trip! The booths were pretty good last year and I'll have more time to try everything instead of attempting to eat everything in a day.
So first time runner at DL here and trying to get my head wrapped around how things work for runDisney event. Am I to understand correctly that the Start/Finish for the DL HM in January is on Disney Way?I would operate under the assumption that there is no change to the start and finish at this point. For the January races they sent out an email in October announcing the new start and finish locations, I suspect because people assumed that the start area was going to be where it was before covid and booked hotels accordingly. Needless to say the announcement was annoying for some people and great for people who had booked hotels close to that lot.
Yes, you should be able to use them. I know you you can use them to pay for registrations. Can one use Disney Gift Cards toward merch purchase on the runDisney website?
It's not official until they release the maps but you should operate under the assumption that yes, that's how it'll go. There's a lot nearby that they use for the Start/Finish village, when I did this in January I walked from the Castle Inn over to Clementine, where they had security and then to the start village, then they funnel people into the corrals on Disney Way.So first time runner at DL here and trying to get my head wrapped around how things work for runDisney event. Disneyland Hotel.Where does one normally pick up runner bib and I'm assuming merch?
You'll get emails from runDisney leading up to the events that tell you all you'll need to know. A few weeks out, they'll post the digital event guide as well. Here's the event guide for the WDW Marathon Weekend that came out last week: https://www.rundisneyexpo.run/Where does one normally pick up runner bib and I'm assuming merch?
Thank you! It looks the permission isn't set properly to share, though - I get a "permission denied" error for both maps.Made the route on MapMyRun. I am aware the mileage is off. i followed the Instagram posting as close as I could. I don't know entirely why there's the descripency. But anyway: https://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/6361536715/
For reference here is the 2024 course: https://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/5882341894
This new course has almost 70 foot less elevation gain in part thanks to the loss of Ball Hill.
Not going to miss that or the Santa Ana.
Ah whoops give me five. I was worried I might have done it but didn’t see any indicator of it on my endThank you! It looks the permission isn't set properly to share, though - I get a "permission denied" error for both maps.
