Perplexed as to why the seller is taking so long to return the closing docs.

With the flood of Aulani contracts I see a couple with my use year that I would happily bid for at a lower price per point

Have you reached out to your broker to ask why the delay?

If your contract has a Close By date (I think most do), and the sale does not close by then, you can cancel the sale, get your deposit back, and bid on another contract.

I pinged them last week asking if I needed to do anything else. That was when they said they were still waiting on the sellers to return the docs.

The date of closing on the contracts is 1/10/25 so I still have a couple weeks till that date.

I have to remind myself that this is a part of the process with the massive savings we got for choosing a resale versus another direct contract. And if it takes too long, then I will happily take our funds back and bid on another contract.

I do wish I read more on the board. We sent our wire transfer the day we signed the contract. Now I know to hold the wire transfer till the seller signs the forms.

Now I have had the pleasure of knowing why everyone raves about Cammy at DVC Title & Escrow so much. She is lightning speed at sending closing docs the same day as sending the ROFR passing congratulations! Things are looking good to be able to book at the 11-month window for our big 2025 Christmas trip!
