I agree! I was pretty excited.Couldn’t be a better xmas present!!!
We just did the same thing. The closing company told us to send funds before Christmas week to avoid delays only to find out, the seller still hasn’t sent back anything or been heard from. Our closing was 12/27/24-1/10/25 on contract so I have to wait as well to see what happens. Definitely the downside of resaleI pinged them last week asking if I needed to do anything else. That was when they said they were still waiting on the sellers to return the docs.
The date of closing on the contracts is 1/10/25 so I still have a couple weeks till that date.
I have to remind myself that this is a part of the process with the massive savings we got for choosing a resale versus another direct contract. And if it takes too long, then I will happily take our funds back and bid on another contract.
I do wish I read more on the board. We sent our wire transfer the day we signed the contract. Now I know to hold the wire transfer till the seller signs the forms.
I finally caved and asked for an update yesterday. We just did the same thing. Well that's good news I am reminding myself of same thing. Direct prices right now are insane unless you're buying larger quantities and this is just an add on for me; I have my direct that I got at pretty good price. I'll update the thread with mine if I ever close!I finally caved and asked for an update yesterday.
Supposedly the sellers documents are in transit.
I agree this is the downside of resale but I have to remember that getting 240 points in instead of the 125 direct that would have cost about the same
Was wondering if you could share how much your fidelity closing/admin fees were for this.Just heard we passed ROFR. All I want for Christmas now is to close by Christmas Eve so that maybe we can have points ready to book VGF at the 11-month for our 2025 Christmas Adventure!

All closed! I called this morning to ask for points to be loaded and DVC member services was able to oblige. How perfect since the first night I am planning to book is Dec. 5, 2025!
The only problem is that it didn't cure my add-on-itis since we stayed at Copper Creek over Christmas and now I want to buy a contract there. Haha!
