The Yachtsman Steakhouse … Disney’s TRULY Best Kept Secret Secret

 I hope there is no doubt how much I love you ... even more than DESSERT!

Hmmm, would you like us to leave for a while?!?! ;)

Actually, you might want to add this to your 'husband school' itinerary - How to Say Loving Things to Your Spouse in Public Without Dying of Embarrassment 101. My hubby is pretty good, but this is not in his repertoire.

another great report thanks

We thanks Mark, the chefs and the entire CAST at Yachtsman for everything they did for us. Their diligence and attention to every detail made it possible for us to write about our amazing experience.

We especially thank YUN for her tireless effort to cover up our spills. After her evening with us, we hear she was brushing up her resume to go work for EXXON!

I'd like to thank the Academy.....

OH wait...wrong show....

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

OK ... you've convinced me to add the Yachtsman to our dining itinerary sometime within the next 18 months ... either this October or October 2009 ... despite the fact that it's a steakhouse and we have so many of them here (good ones, too) that I have to stop myself from mooing even as I type this. :lmao:

That port flight has my toes curling ... I'm writing all four of them down and will begin a quest to try them myself once we get back from Vegas (this time next week we'll be flying west).

Thanks again for a wonderful review and more importantly for sharing such a wonderful experience with the rest of us. :)

Bob - That was not fair! I am NOT supposed to cry reading the dang RESTAURANT board! :sad2: What a sweet tribute.
While we aren't fancy diners (just edible, thanks) I totally agree that dining "well" is more about sharing the experience with people you love and enjoying yourself.

And for Kevin to love you more than DESSERT? That is a whomping honor coming from him!

No kidding. I'm all verklempt now. Got some Kleenex?

I think we need a Nosh Around the World reunion. We sure could fit the "dine well" definition there. The shared experience was a heckuva lot of fun.

:grouphug:

OK...Now you have the big sap in me tearing up... You two are so wonderful together and I can only hope to meet someone one day that makes me feel as special! :goodvibes

Your review is fierce! (I love Christian from Project Runway and have to steal his cute sayings every now and again) I love it!

gosh, i've fallen behind here....

all those pictures to catch up on - gorgeous!!!

Hum ... Mister Disney ... I think there's a subtle comment here ... The pictures are "gorgeous" ... do you suppose it's because we're not in them?!?!?:rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

I think this has been one of my favorites of all the reports you have done! Everything about this report has made me :goodvibes

I think I'll take my Mom back to YSH for our December trip, she's only been there once and that was for our wedding and the waiter spilled the juice from the rack of lamb on her and ruined her dress.

Well, it finishes as wonderfully as it started. I simply love the desserts and hope that one of them is on the menu when we are there in August.

And the loving sentiment between you guys...it's enough to make a girl cry  We should all be so lucky in love as you guys are.

Thanks for sharing such a special day with all of us.

Oh ... we think we may know just who you're speaking of :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

The last we heard of them was ...

"WELCOME TO CI CI's"

SHHHHHHHHH ....

I had to leave out a lot of the details leading up to this special night because some of them are part of our continued (or is it continous:dance3: ) Celebration on Easter Sunday. Watch the links (cuff and otherwise) for more fun in the sun. :cool2:

:worship: We can't say or sing :rolleyes1 the high praises loud enough of Mark Hoevenaars and the entire Cast of the Yachtsman Steak House.:worship:

Lori - We would LOVE to do a "Nosh" reunion! We were rearranging the closet this weekend and DH and I found our "Nosh" commemorative shirts. :goodvibes Good times!
Unfortunately, DS will be in 7th grade in the Fall so I doubt we will be making any side trips to F&WF. :guilty: Our APs all expire in mid-August, so our next trip will be entirely from scratch. The only valid thing we will have is a DDE card! :rotfl2:

OMG!! I am so addicted. I was reading these reviews at work and would have to close the thread when people came by....ssshhhh. Only thing this is the first one I have read from beginning to end. Now I have to go back and read the rest. This was awesome. Every picture made me drool. By the way you got email Bob ;)

Great reviews definitely food porn....lol

OK.... after digging around, I found one of the photos from 2007 from the Tasting Menu the Chefs created for my BD back then......

Chilled Seafood Salad
seafood-salad-2007.JPG

Baby Greens, Citrus Vinaigrette, and Avocado Cream

This was incredible....and I must say...I hope you all like it on the current menu....it is something different then a standard shrimp cocktail.....
wonderful.....

SO FAST FORWARD TO 2008

Mister Disney - I bet if you E-mailed the Chefs and asked for the recipe they would send it to you because you're the "Golden Boys " of the Yachtsmen Steakhouse. That dish and the Lobster, Shrimp & Jumbo Crab with Lemon Crème Fraîche & Avocado Cream have been on the Disney Recipe Exchange request list for quite a while and it would be awesome if you could get this and post it for us. ;) :worship:  Pretty Please

A "Golden Boy"? WOW...I haven't been called a "boy" in decades! :rotfl2: :lmao: Kevin on the other hand....well...that is another story!

Let me see what I can do. We do seem to "know" the Chefs @ the Steakhouse....although probably NOT as well as another DISer lurking around. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Shall I take that other DISer as me Mister Disney?:confused3

How are you? Can you make this rain end soon?
