Hey everyone! I just took the simulator test about 30 mins ago - i averaged about 3-4 minutes per question. Do you think thats ok? :confused3

That's great. :goodvibes As long as they are happy with the answer (used good punctuation, no blacklisted sites, etc), I'm sure you'll pass. :thumbsup2

Busy day today. If you don't have the NCAA tournament listed as a keyword, you're crazy.

Hi Mom2micayla thanks for your response!

I didn't realize until after the test that ChaCha itself was a blacklisted site! :headache: oh well - hopefully that won't hurt me too much. I'm really excited to give ChaCha a try.

Do you think that they'll look over tests over the weekends?

Is the Underground and Earnings down for everyone I can't get into anything I am still getting questions though?

I finally got through the ChaCha University videos and now have to take my test to be an Expeditor. Is it pretty straight forward and simple or are there trick questions of some sort to look out for?

I wanted to know if someone could let me know what expeditors get paid so I know what to expect. Also, I've read that questions have picked up. Is there any particular good or bad time to be working? I mean when can I see the most questions coming in? Or does it just vary day to day.

Thanks!!

Expeditor's get $.03/query. And the volume varies. Evening times and weekends are the busiest for me.

For those who are ChaCha vets, I haven't ChaCha'ed since maybe September...can you please give me a rundown on the changes since then? I would GREATLY appreciate it! Thanks so much!

I would love to know too. I haven't ChaCha'ed since November when things died out and couldn't get any queries.

How is traffic now? With the change in pay, etc., how are you doing? I was making about $400 - $500 a month but working a good bit.

I just logged back in today and was getting queries steadily but stopped taking them until I find out what the current pay rate and new "rules" are. Hoping to add some more $$$ to my disney fund!

I used to make $400 a month as well. Now I am lucky if I make $100. I have tried changing categories, logging in and out occasionally, and nothing seems to help.

Traffic for me is zero during the day and still slow at night.

It is almost ALWAYS back to back when I log in. I havent had a lot of time in the past month or so, but I managed to hit my $100 in less than 2 weeks with a half hour here and there.

I used to average around $150 a week easy when traffic was good. (last Oct) I am lucky to make $100 a month now. I worked about 4 hours on Saturday & made $12, if that helps.

I have lost motivation as a guide & as a user. It took 6 hours to get an response for movie times! By the time we got our answer, we had been to the theater, seen the movie, showered & I was plugging in my phone to charge when ChaCha finally answered what time the movie starts. (incorrectly might I add)

The average question now pays 11.5 cents. Weekend guaranteed cash amounts & contests are no longer 10-20 dollars they are 3-5 dollars. We are paid per question based on how the EX catagorizes the question. (no blame to EX, but everyone makes mistakes) Hard questions such as Math & Mass transit are 20 cents per & 411 & definitions are 10.

Basically, it could take 8 hours to earn a pizza dinner! LOL!

I was working a lot in the summer & fall of last year, and then stopped for a few months when things got bad. I recently started doing it again. (I'm a specialist)

My experience is I'm usually b2b, or pretty dang close to it, even during the weekdays. Last month I worked about 3 weeks and I made $250. I did invest quite a few hours on some of those days, though. The categories you pick are very important. Some pay much higher than others (but typically are "harder" problems). If you are familiar with Disney World, or other travel/tourist-y type areas, definitely put those in. I think they pay $.18 each. I ditched the "Who is..." queries b/c I hated them with a passion. They always took a long time and they were only paying $.10.

They have a new rating scale for specialist/generalist where they pick a few of your answers each day and rate them. At the end of the week you get your quality & completion rates. I don't see what difference it makes since it doesn't effect your pay rate. :confused3 Maybe if you get way too many low quality weeks you'll get fired. Not sure. I've been 95+ for 5 weeks now.

Overall, I preferred ChaCha much more before the bruhaha last year. I sometimes feel like working for $3/hr is ridiculous. Anyone that tells you they are making $10/hr has to be lying.

So IMO ChaCha would be worth it for you if you had nothing else to do and just wanted to make a little extra play money. No way would I ever recommend trying to do it to pay bills or a mortgage. It's too risky and unpredictable.

I started doing ChaCha in October 2008. At first, I loved it. Hubby and I both do it. I was making about minimum wage but without the cost of gas, clothing, etc. Now it's a chore. I'm making at most $4/hour. It's disgusting. Every change they have ever made has resulted in lower pay for the guides. My inbox is full of "High Volume Alerts" nearly every day.

It's good for play money but that's it. With summer coming up, it will keep DH occupied.

I agree with some of the previous posters. I like it because I'm making extra money during times where I'd be sitting in front of my computer doing nothing anyway. I don't spend very much time at it - 10 minutes here, 15 minutes there, an hour or two a day total - but I've made almost $175 in about 6 weeks. Not great if this were my main job but for extra Disney spending money not too bad. If I were more agressive with it I'd be able to make more.

I've been making $300/month. If I work nights from 9-12ish I make close to $4/hr as a guide. I've never had a problem with being slow except during the day but that's understandable because I think 80% of those that use ChaCha are school kids.

What are the expeditors making a month? Just passed test, may try logging in tonight for the first time, as a second job. How do most get paid? I understand there are 2 options, direct deposit and another, I can't remember. What option is best? Anything else I should know before logging in tonight? Thanks in advance.
