The party is 7:00pm-12:00am. Party goers with MNSSHP party tickets are permitted to enter the Magic Kingdom at 4:00pm using their MNSSHP ticket. You will be given a special MNSSHP wrist band upon entry. This is used to identify those who are permitted to stay in MK for the party. If you are already at MK and have a MNSSHP ticket, you will be able to receive your wristband at designated locations inside MK.

This is a separate “hard ticket” event. This means unless you have purchased a separate ticket, you will not be allowed to stay at the Magic Kingdom after 7:00pm. Should you have dining reservations in MK that will take you into the party time, cast members will personally escort you to the exit after your meal. You will not be permitted to stay and enjoy any part of the event.

Special Events at MNSSHP

Here is a link to last year’s map and schedule:
http://www.wdwinfo.com/holidays/photos/mnsshp-map1.htm

Trick or Treating throughout the park for kids of ALL ages! Trick or Treat bags are distributed when you enter the park or at the Trick or Treat locations. Trick or Treat locations are designated with signs.

Castle Stage Show-Villains Mix & Mingle. This show takes place in front of Cinderella’s castle and features your favorite Villains dancing and singing. After all, Halloween is their holiday. Villain’s featured last year Evil Queen, Maleficent, Queen of Hearts, Dr. Facilier, Jafar, Captain Hook, and Cruela De Vil. After the show, the villains come down from the stage and do meet and greets. They pose for pictures but do not sign autographs. Show times from last year were as follows: 7:45, 8:50, 10:05 and 11:15. After the first party, I will update with this year’s times if there are changes.

Rocket tower Dance Party at Tomorrowland-Dance party with a DJ featuring Stitch, Pluto, Goofy, and Chip and Dale. Dance the night away while a DJ spins your favorite top 40 hits and dance music.

Diamond Horseshoe Review Dance Party- Dance party with a DJ featuring Woody, Jesse, and Bullseye. Dance the night away while a DJ spins your favorite top 40 hits and dance music.

Dance party’s take place from 7:00pm-11:30pm.

Mickey’s Boo to You Parade-See your favorite Disney characters dressed up in their Halloween costumes. The parade runs two times each night at 8:15pm and 10:30pm.

Tip: The second parade is less crowded than the first parade. Viewing areas in Frontierland and Liberty Square are less crowded than the hub and Main Street.

Hallowishes-MNSSHP party fireworks. Hallowishes takes place in front of Cinderella’s castle at 9:30pm. On MNSSHP evenings, Wishes fireworks DO NOT take place. Hallowishes is a special fireworks show just for MNSSHP.

Character Meet and Greets-meet your favorite Disney characters dressed up in their Halloween costumes. Click here to see the characters that appeared last year; http://unofficialdisneycharacterhun.../09/mickeys-not-so-scary-halloween-party.html

Character locations are thought to change with the closer of Toon Town. Locations and characters scheduled to appear will be updated when more information becomes available.

Special Photopass opportunities will also be available throughout the park. The most popular photopass pictures are near the Haunted Mansion. One photo is taken near the horseless carriage in the Haunted Mansion courtyard. When the picture is developed, a ghost horse is in the harness and a ghost is driving the carriage. Another is near the Liberty Belle, when the picture is developed the hitchhiking ghosts will appear in the photo with you.

Special MNSSHP Merchandise

Special party merchandise will be available at select locations after 7:00pm. You must have a wristband to purchase the merchandise. Some merchandise does sell out. I will post pictures of the 2011 merchandise and prices after the first party.

Strategies and Tips

Character Meet and Greets-if you are interested in meeting a popular character, get in line before 7:00pm to insure a shorter wait time. Lines do tend to build for the rare/popular characters as the party begins.

Trick or Treating-lines thin out towards the end of the night. If there are lines, wait until after 10:00pm to trick or treat. CM’s will be more generous with the candy distribution towards the end of the night.

Villain’s Mix and Mingle-If you are interested in meeting a particular villain, watch the show from the area that they will greet guests from. I will update you on where each villain is meeting from after the first party.

Costumes-Florida can still be very warm in September/October. Keep that in mind when choosing a costume. Masks are not permitted that impair vision. Remember, this is the NOT So Scary Halloween Party, so scary costumes are not recommended. Adults: If you choose to dress as a Disney character, you can not pose for pictures or sign autographs. Fake weapons are not permitted.

Face Painting is free for all during the party. Lines can get very long.

The Headless Horseman rides the parade route BEFORE the Boo to you parade. Except him to ride about 15 minutes prior to the parade. The Headless Horseman only stops at one location during his ride and that is on the bridge coming from Liberty Square into the hub. If you want a good picture, this is the place to be.

Feel free to ask questions or just discuss your planning and excitement for the party!

MNSSHP planning has begun! Please use this thread for all things MNSSHP. Consider is a one stop shop for MNSSHP.

I will try my best to keep the thread up to date and full of important information.

Hoping to be going back to MNSSHP this year. Probably just DD11 and I. Don't think I can get my DM to go again. Last time we were there it poured and it was pretty miserable.

I love the Boo to You parade and the fireworks.

Been to the one at DLR once-they need the Boo to You parade. The fireworks were great though. Same music as WDW.

I LOVE the pictures in your signature! This year will be my first Halloween party at Disneyland and I can't wait!

Hopefully, the weather cooperates with you this year!

I LOVE MNSSHP! We go every October, and this is my favorite part of the trip! Best parade and fireworks! I have the soundtrack of the music on my ipod.

I can't wait to see your report about the first party!
We love MNSSHP - I was just listening to "Boo to You" on d-cot jukebox!

Yeah!!! We are deciding between Oct 10 and 11. Depends on if we want to go to evening emh at hollywood studios or epcot. leaning toward epcot. We were thinking about changing our trip to nov this year but when we started thinking about mnsshp or mvmcp - mnsshp won out. Can't wait. Got to start thinking about costumes!

I know it can change from year-to-year (& will probably especially change this year since Toon Town has closed). However, we are planning to attend the 2nd party (9/16), & I'm trying to plan out our strategy (we've never been before) since we won't have a lot of firsthand reports before the 9/16 party.

Anyway, a few questions -

Where is the merchandise normally sold? I'd like to purchase t-shirts & pins.

Where are the 7 Dwarfs normally located? I think that's probably going to be our 1st photo.

Do the princes meet w/ the princesses in the usual princess "meet & greet" area - for this year, this would be at the new princess area at the front of the park?

We have dinner scheduled at the Plaza at 5:10 pm - hoping to be done by 6:15ish - then should we get in line for the 7 Dwarfs?

Thanks for the help! I'm sure I'll have more questions as it gets closer!! :)

The 7dwarfs tends to be one of the most popular photo ops during the party. Same applies to Cinderella's coach. So make your choice and get in line early. Sounds like your time frame for dinner will be a good one. 7dwarfs was over by toon town area/fantasy land but no idea where they will be this time. The coach was set up where you leave fantasy land to liberty square near peter pan.

The special merchandise I believe was in one of the stores in tomorrow land but that might change. We never did get back to see what they had.

We are planning on the Sept 27th party if the dates stay the same! So excited to back to MNSSHP!

We are also planning on going the 27th! I am soooo excited:yay:. I think I will be waiting in line to get a photo op with the Dwarfs. Snow White is my favorite princess so....:goodvibes
This will be my BFF's first time going and she keeps asking me if this party is something we really have to do. Umm...YEAH!!!!!!!!:)

We will be there for the Oct 7th party and am still deciding if I want to get tickets or not. It will be mom, sis and I and I know they won't want to spring for the extra cost of the tickets, so I guess if I come into some money I will get them and we can go.

For the seasoned MNSSHP attendees...

We are planning to go to WDW Oct 1-9. There are 3 parties while we are there (at least we think so!!) on 10/2, 10/6 & 10/7. We are not sure whether to choose 10/2(Sunday) or 10/6(thursday).

10/1 is the Wine & Dine run, so not sure if the 10/2 party will be more crowded due to that. Also both party nights are also Fantasmic nights & we would like to see F! while we are there. 10/2 is F! & EMH evening at DHS, so not sure if that would make the crowds for F! worse or not. We haven't been to F! since they stopped showing it every night, so not sure what to expect.

I have asked this before, but am looking for more opinions to help me decide!! Thanks so much!

Went to my first MNSSHP in 2009 and am sooo excited to go again this year! I'll be attending the Friday night party on 9/30, after an early dinner at 'Ohana. Hoping to get to the MK before the party officially starts (this is exactly what we did last time so I think it's doable) and like most others, I'm thinking priority will be getting that 7 dwarfs picture! Other than that, as far as pictures go, I'd like to get some outside the Haunted Mansion with the special effects and I would love to get the Old Hag from Snow White or some other rare characters.

I'll be checking in on this thread often for some tips for the party! Can't wait! :thumbsup2

I haven't been to WDW in 15 years or so and it just turns out that I get to go twice this year! My second trip will be the last week of October and I'm hoping to go to the party that Tuesday. It looks like so much fun :) Has anyone been on a weekday that close to Halloween and have advice about the lines? I'm interested in the parade, fireworks and rides. We don't care so much about the meet and greets or the candy. Do you think the lines will still be relatively short for rides? Thanks, and good luck planning for everyone!

It'll be our first time too! I'm so excited :cheer2::cheer2:

I've been watching videos on youtube from last year and the parade looks awesome.

Yes! I forgot to say that in my post. That parade was so good, we saw it both times that night! Hands down, the best parade I have ever seen in Disney! :thumbsup2
