Next Batch of Cruises

If you want to do the Norway Fjords you should do in 2025. They are limiting cruising to low-emission ships beginning 2026. You may want to check out NCL. We went on a great 10 day Iceland and Norway cruise in May of 2024 because the DCL schedule did not fit with when we wanted to cruise.
Whoa, thanks for posting! We were considering doing the DCL Norwegian fjords cruise next year but weren't sure because we also wanted to go on the Treasure. I was thinking we could wait and see if 2026 has a longer itinerary that included Iceland, but if it's going away entirely we'll just do Norway! We've been to Iceland anyway.

So surprised no Iceland. We went the first year, and I have only read positive things from others. Seemed to be really popular.

I’m so happy the Fantasy is coming to Europe! I’ve never sailed on her before!!
We last cruised in 2021 and I’m aware we need to sail again to maintain my CC status (gold). So I’m using that as a perfect excuse to book for a Southampton departure 😊😂
I’m actually thinking about doing a 4 night Spain then a 3 night France - never done a back to back so it’s quite exciting!

I had forgotten but anjuan's post reminded me about Norway going to zero emission ships in the fjords in 2026.
There are several articles relating to it when doing a search. The earliest article I found was dated May 2018 where the Norwegian parliament adopted zero-emissions by 2026.

There are at least 2 companies trying to update their ships to go emission free to sail the fjords. Hurtigruten and Havila
are going emission free.

Am so glad we made it to Geiranger and Iceland when we did! We were on the Magic the last time to Geiranger!!
And we made it to Iceland in 2018! I would put Iceland and the Geiranger fjord as equal to Alaska!

If you want to cruise there on Disney, better book the 2024 cruise.

Good grief. Maybe if we throw goofy into the volcano, the “climate gods” will be happy.

Hurtigruten and Havila aren't really cruise lines. They are required service providers to help connect coastal Norway. As Norwegians say, mountain high, fjord deep, Norway long. Coastal travel is required. Their comparables are like the Japanese ferry services or the Silja services in the Baltic.
