UGH...I just finally added everything up! We are WAY over on some things (household because we had to have a plumber come in; medical for some reason, I guess we had more doctor visits than usual or this needs to be adjusted...) Also I haven't budgeted for daycare but that is coming up now since I tutor after school 4 days a week.

DH also did some traveling this month and will get some reimbursement but not for his food...and I had to buy equipment for DS for his baseball (still need to get him some batting gloves).

Anyway, in many ways this was an abnormal month and we will have to do better about keeping expenses down and tracking things. Fortunately DH gets paid every second week, so April is a three-paycheck month and I plan to get caught up on everything. But again...UGH!

Even though we ate out a couple of times as a family, we didn't come close to spending all of our "entertainment" budget because we had ANOTHER babysitter fink out on us...we have been trying to go out to dinner, just DH and I, with this Restaurant.com certificate I bought, for months, no joke! I even have this money set aside in a different account...but no luck so far!

I do see that I had 10 no-buy days (I don't count days when I only pay bills or buy groceries)...so that's pretty good!

Paper, paper towels, and 4 bags of dog food so far. DH was able to take the day off from work to get rid of the water and start the cleaning.

2. Bills paid regularly, including all charity, not included, nor all items that are budgeted for (eg. DD's music trips....money is already set aside-I'll note them, but they don't count)
3. Whatever 'fun' money DH spends i.e. junk food, on himself....not counting
4. I anticipate some eating out this month-birthday and March Break

I have really fallen off the wagon lately. Not spending but recording. I need to catch up but I have just been so busy and it's been kind of hard cause my DH is my rock, he talks me though all the craziness in life and I have to do this without him. FOr example, in making his book someone who we barly know submitted 40 words. I didn't know what to do so I put it in but now that I have the book I wish I hadn't. It was nice of her to do but he hardly knows her (it is a mom of a girl in one of my GS troops.) It isn't a big deal, but it's those little things I wish I had him as a sounding board for. Or the other day an old friend of mine, not his, who I have been trying to distance myself from called out of the blue and I like a fool mentioned his party and she asked if she and her DH were invited. I didn't know what to say so I said it was more his frineds, not mine but if they wanted to...they wanted to. She called today to confirm and to tell me that they couldn't get a babysitter so they are brining their kids too. I wish I had him to vent to, but I am almost there.

I will be happy to pull this off, not sure I will ever be able to do it again, it's hard!

Today is baking day. I ahve to bake his cake (frost and decorate tomorrow) and I am making 4 cheesecakes. I only have one pan so I am doing them 1 at a time. It is going to be an all day thing and then he will come home, ask what I did today and I have to make it seem like I didn't sit home staring at the walls.

I give people who pull off surprises a lot of credit!

Anyway, miss you all, will be better in April I promise!
