03/04-0-:cheer2: I've haven't been feeling well. So, I've been going right home after work. Upset stomach has been helping with my no spend days:cool1: What ever works right.!
03/05 $66.00 $50.00 Gas- $16.00 dinner out with the ladies. Shouldn't have gone, I ordered a dinner and then didn't eat it. But, the company was priceless.
03/06 :cheer2: Today will be a spend day. Have to do some shopping....It was cold and raining today...So, we only went out to go to Church and to bring DD to work. Then back in the house for the day.
03/07$160.00 Woke up to a flooded basement this morning.:scared1: By 6:30 AM my DH was at Home Depot buying a sump pump and things that go with it. Luckly I don't think there is a lot of loss. Our old house used to flood every year. We learned from that. We have a small fortune invested in totes and very few things are actually on the floor. Although we did loose a stockpile of T. Paper, paper towels, and 4 bags of dog food so far. DH was able to take the day off from work to get rid of the water and start the cleaning.
03/09$36.00 Walmart groceries and extra cleaning supplies(coupons savings $28.00.
03/10 $50.00 Lia Sophia Party. My DD is crazy about their jewelry. Ok, so am I. I've decided to become an adviser for them. Will save a ton of money and hopefully make some at the same time.

03/14 $32.00 groceries (saved $22.00)
03/15-0-:cheer2:
03/16$40 in gas. Gas prices are killing me!:scared1: Not only are the prices out of this world, but, I seem to be filling more often. Went to the Mall to have DD's Ipod looked at. And didn't spend $$. Although she did. With her own money. :cool1: I love her having a job now. :cool1: It's saving me $$$.
03/17 Happy Belated St. Patrick's Day. $6.00 at Target on household.(saved $13.00 in coupons).

03/23-0-:cheer2:
03/24 -0-:cheer2: Everyone in the house was in bed by 8pm. :sick:I think the flu is going thru the house.
03/25 $173.00:scared1: $55 DD's hair, $50 nails & pedi, $50 gas, $5.00 milk, $13.00 fast food (yuck quick and easy). This was Prom night. And it was crazy. We have all been sick. Especially my DD. But, she insisted on going to the Prom. Can't blame her and we let her go. You're only a Jr. once.

03/28-0-:cheer2: going right home from work.

annsteere - Yes, I am that OCD that I have my Christmas budget set for 2011. I am on a tight fixed income, so I need to plan ahead and save up, so I have a savings account with ING for Christmas and know how much I need to put in every month to have that by the begining of Nov. But I also buy when I see a good deal and store it away and subtract that from the Christmas account.

My budget is $750 for everything for Christmas including cards. I have my parents, my brother & family; my sister & family and my sister & husband plus her four kids, their spouses and their kids plus whoeverI get from the Angel Tree. It comes out to 31 people.

For our family party (with all 30 of us), you need to bring a $10 adult, unisex grab bag gift. Then we play that game where you draw numbers to pick a gift from the pile or you can take one from someone who has already opened one.

The $8 I already spent was at Bath & Body for a big bottle of "Margarita" body wash from the 75% off shelf at their semi-annual sale. I will keep my eye out for two cool plastic glasses to go with it.

Stayed in again today. I was exhausted after our girlie day yesterday. No one went home until 11:30pm but it was a ton of fun.

I am going to redo my budget a little and starting this month I am going from the 30th to the 29th. It works better for when our income comes in and makes it easier to keep track of.

Took a sick day today in hopes of resting my voice and be back full force tomorrow. Fiancé decided to stay home with me and we got LOTS done. An eexpensive but productive day. Several of the things are going on the wedding budget (pants for fiance, and underwater camera).

My main purchase was a pair of good dancing shoes for my salsa lessons. We are getting more serious now, needed better shoes.

About the proms, enjoy this special time with your daughters! I wish I had it with my mom. She had a mental breakdown shortly before my prom, so I had to find my dress, get my hair done, and pay for the ticket all by myself. My friend's dad paid for the traveling, which was very kind. Then, my mom had a relapse just in time for my wedding about 6 years later... and I ended up buying her dress and my sisters' dresses as well. She insisted on sticking pieces of lace in her shoes and around her neck.

Anyway, that said, I talk to my mom almost every day and she is a treasure in my life. I'm sure your DDs will feel that way about you when they are older. Oh, and I used to always dress unfeminine and I’m not very fancy, and God blessed me with my precious 6-year-old fashion diva; he has a sense of humor. :)

Gettin' close to the No Buy goal.
Here's my plan:
1. I will only track PoS transactions-cash, cc, or debit-usually, groceries and gas, although this month there will be a couple of birthday gifts, and my running shoes need to be replaced [there goes $200]
2. Bills paid regularly, including all charity, not included, nor all items that are budgeted for (eg. DD's music trips....money is already set aside-I'll note them, but they don't count)
3. Whatever 'fun' money DH spends i.e. junk food, on himself....not counting
4. I anticipate some eating out this month-birthday and March Break
5. Gas....there is no telling!
6. I would like to aim for 10 No Buy days. Something to shoot for.

Great start.

Argh, I fell off the wagon with tracking again! Between the tire replacement $ and unexpectedly going out to lunch last Saturday...I am sure we're still under our grocery budget and will work it all out but I'm annoyed at myself for not logging things because it makes it that much harder!

Oh, well, I WILL do better in April!

BigMama67, I saw your other thread about Giant/Hershey. I'll be looking for that as well. Also, I just wanted you to know that Dutch Wonderland is free with a new toy (1/person) the first day of Winter Wonderland, which is in mid to late Nov. We went the past two years and it's been great; not all the rides are open though. Hope that helps!

Hi Everyone, I am still in maniac mode, trying to get ready for DH's surprise party. I need to go back and record, but I have read everything and thanks to everyone who posted about the prom dress. I don't regret any of it, we had a great day. I am so happy the don't care phase is over. Anyway, I wanted to post a photo of her in her dress, but I don't post photos of my kids, so I found a link to the dress so you all can see it. At last weigh in she has lost 30 pounds, and she looks amazing in this.

I have some catching up to do but I got some GOOD news...we are going to get back enough in our federal tax refunds to cover the accountant fees, the small amount we owe the state of NJ, one of my summer classes and possibly also the new fridge we were planning to get for the basement!

Speaking of which, I was talking with my insurance agent recently and vented a bit that they didn't cover any of the work we had to do after the Nor'Easter last spring, He said he would take another look at our file and make some calls...I heard from the company less than an hour later that they would cover up to a certain amount for the wall and floor replacements (not for the damage itself)...it's enough to get the two new laptops we need (ours are going south FAST!) and put some back into savings. So, YEAH! :cool1::cool1:

(I was initially tempted to plan a trip to Orlando, but I'm trying to be a responsible adult...LOL...also it didn't feel right to do that since I've decided to take out loans to finish the program this year)...so we're camping in PA twice this summer instead, and that will be nice too! :goodvibes

Any cent we can save will go towards a trip to Orlando for '12 (BEFORE DS turns 10!)
