maybe the parents didn't know full well that their kids would freak out.A better question is why do so many parents take their little kids into this knowing full well that their kids are going to freak out? Happens every time I'm there.

they do have warning messages, but there's a couple of things for first timers: they might be chatting with their family and not listen, they might hear the warning message but disregard it because their kids have gone on scary roller coasters and they were fine, they might not speak English... My DD16 absolutely hates this show and avoids it as much as possible. If we have family or friends that are visiting for the first time she will very reluctantly go in but she sits on the edge, closes her eyes and gets up before the bugs leaveI agree with @yulilin3 on this, I don't think you can tell from the outside that it's going to be as intense, though I do believe they have some warning signs. I really love the que, going under the tree, the posters, and the music while waiting. And all of that is completely ruined for me once I'm inside. My family finds it hilarious to watch me squirm, but it's really not a pleasant experience for me. I've even gone to the extreme to be sure to enter first so that I can exit with the people who are leaving the theater before us and I wait on the outside for my family. You can hear the screaming on the outside of the exit door and believe me it does not sound like a family friendly Disney show going on in there! I try to avoid this show if at all possible, just not for me.
Now the bird shows....could watch those all day and I spend a lot of time in the bird aviaries on the trails, they are my favorites!
Hate. HATE. That show. The special effects make me jump like a 2 year old every time! The show itself isn't scary on principle... it's the round things crawling under your butt and sharp things poking your back that scare me!
