Last October I was waiting outside a restroom at Epcot for DH and DS when I overheard an argument between a husband and wife. Apparently, they had been separated in the park and the wife tried to call the husband who didn't answer his phone. The husband was adamant that the wife had not called him because he had no missed calls on his phone. He asked for her phone to prove it. He takes her phone, pushes a few buttons, sighs in disgust and then slams it shut and hands it back to her! She very calmly said I told you so.
Was this in Morocco ? In I think either 2008 or 2009 ? If it was you saw myself and DH. I say that because that was exactly what happen to usWe laugh about it now but I was soooo upset, and that argument went on for quite a bit. I had gotten in the line for a drink and told DH to wait for me just a few feet away , well that as usual did not happen. I spent a good 1/2 hour calling him and looking for him . The bad thing was he had his cell and I called and called but not only does it ring it VIBRATES and he had it in his front pocket!
This was not overheard, but I hope it still qualifies to be included in this thread:
My adult DS still loves Disney but only likes to go occasionally now. From time to time he'll call and say, "Mom,I think I could go to Disney again!" So of course we go! One trip, on arriving at DHS, my DS runs ahead to the entrance, turns around with a big smile on his face and throws his arms in the air as if to say, "We're HERE!"
In that moment, I looked at this man and saw my little boy again...and almost wept.
Oh man...that one got me crying!
I have to admit that story really choked me up too; this is why I love these threads.
Those stories are adorable.
My biggest regret on our first WDW trip is that I didn't take MORE notes. It was a long trip, and so I just remember it blurrily. When I take notes on our DLR trip it really solidifies moments in my mind and makes my memories easier to grasp in the future. Makes the trip reports easier to write, too.
Maybe file these under "bizarre..."
My husband and I were walking through Tomorrowland late one night when a guy walked past us going the opposite direction. He looked my husband in the eye and said, "I think I just saw Gary Coleman in a stroller.". Unfortunately, we never saw said stroller carrying Mr. Coleman.
