I completely understand! I myself got a terrible migraine and head cold on Sunday and missed out on Ohana

You and Emme looked adorable as always! She is the cutest mermaid we saw that day. I was in a hurry though too, my hubby told me to stop being a creeper

We're back home in MN today to the cold but maybe if we get back there another time I will politely introduce myself instead of just popping over for a quick comment and running away.

Such a sweet compliment...thank you!

Ohana has it's moments with hit or miss service but the cm's have so much to do there...however the potstickers make up for the service. They are out of this works good AND authentic.

SNACKIN AROUND EPCOT!



after our delicious breakfast at akershus, emme & i began our day at epcot. emme wanted to say hello to a friend.

emme shared her new toy with duffy.

we also ran into...

it was pretty hot this day so after we met mulan, i stopped here:

i had my heart set on a "cantaloopy". i like cantaloupe. i like vodka. thought this would've been the best choice. then i saw them make the drink and it looked a ton of syrup in the mix. i asked if it was sweet and she said it was a very sweet drink. so sadly, i had to pass.

i had to pick something after standing in line for 10 minutes, so i chose this:

TSING TAO

i was still a bit bummed out about the cantaloopy but the tsing tao was "cheap" by disney standards. i did learn a new way to pour a beer from a bottle with minimal head by watching the CM pour my beer.


we continued our walk through world showcase & i made a pit stop in germany.

for my tasty beverage, i chose:

Altenmunster Oktoberfest

which she hated (i have no idea why she even wanted this as she's never had one of these before).

the CM was nice enough to let emme trade, so she got this instead:

JALAPENO CHEESE STUFFED PREZEL

hands down, this is my favorite snack to have while at disney. this pretzel was warm and soft and the cheese was oozing out perfectly. sometimes, the pretzel is not as soft or warm and "hard" but on this day, it was perfect. there is a little spice to the cheese but it's rather mild in my opinion. i absolutely love it...it makes eating carbs worth it!



we also saw a nice patriotic show. i got a bit teary eyed as my brother had returned safely from afghanistan in august. i had never seen this but i'm glad i had the opportunity this trip. they were great!

we continued our stroll and a friend wanted to say hello to emme.

anyone notice emme had an ariel wand earlier & now it's a belle wand? let's just say a certain someone had a tiny meltdown and wanted to belle wand instead. *le sigh*

after a really great meet & greet (this belle is always so nice no matter who is playing her), we made our way to boulangerie to continue the carb-a-thon.

continuing the epcot carb-a-thon....

i can't go to epcot & not make a pit stop here for this:

HAM & CHEESE CROISSANT

O M G. i love this croissant. it is super buttery (without being too heavy) & deliciously flaky. the secret is to make sure you get this baby toasted & eat it while it's warm. it is heaven on a plate. this croissant is sinfully good. forget counting calories on this thing...i bet it is an obscene number in calories but it is worth every calorie. the cheese is perfectly oozing & the saltiness of the cheese & ham cuts right through the richness of the croissant. it's PERFECT.

after the jalapeno cheese stuffed pretzel, this is my second favorite snack in disney. (yes, i said snack!). it's amazing. it's probably the only thing i've eaten in disney that has lived up to the hype and is "consistently" delicious each time i eat it. it has never let me down. ever.


paired with my croissant, i was of course thirsty, and chose this:

MIMOSA

ah, mimosa. it was a whole bunch of champagne and a small amount of orange juice. what a bargain at under $8!



emme chose:

Baguette

she ate two of these...she just eats the insides. (strange child she is).

she's channeling her inner paula dean & slathered the baguette in butter.


the baguette is crusty on the outside & chewy on the inside. it really is super good and high quality.



for dessert, i chose:

Creme brulee

i'm not much of a desserts person & love savory more but this creme brulee was really tasty. it's "light" & not too sweet. i love the carmelized sugar on top. it was a good choice. thumbs up from me!


after our "snack", we saw the crazy chair man outside. emme was really worried that he would fall and hurt himself. she said i'm a nurse and that if he fell i would take care of him. ha ha.

one last photo op before attempting to leave world showcase.

i was feeling thirsty & made one final stop for an adult beverage.

this is such a great pour & the stella is always nice and cold.

she finally played this game.


and eventually she passed out but i still got my chase visa photo op!

Because of that I have to tell you a story that just happened that has made my day. You need to know that I am a mom of boys, so actually getting to interact with princesses is kind of a solo venture on my part. I made all my reservations today, and like all Disney nuts, I discussed them with my husband. He said he really wanted to eat at Arkershus. My jaw dropped. So I pulled up your review, and with the words cheesy potatoes, my reservation was booked! Yes! My youngest is actually really excited about it. So thank you! I get some princess time!

chef mickeys & crystal palace have their own versions for breakfast but it's not even close to the one at akershus. i love theirs so much.

the princesses interact so differently with boys. it's really cute & the boys usually get really shy and/or giddy around them...just how little girls do.

i hope you enjoy your breakfast there! it's my favorite meal out all the 3...plus it's the cheapest (it's not a cheap breakfast but a bonus is that you get some picture keepsakes with the meal).

I too prefer the Akershus breakfast...

we have gone there two years in a row...but ..not for our upcoming trip...made me sad..

OUr grandson was 6 and 7 when he went and loved it too..

Food is excellent ..both what they bring to the table and in the other room
