Poly in early August or CBR over Christmas?

Look at my signature...CBR hands down.

Pop century vs Caribbean Beach Resort

Have stayed at CBR quite a few times. The one benefit that CBR has is the quiet pools around the resorts. They have the main pool which gets pretty crowded, but we liked the quiet pools. Kids had more room to themselves and closer to the room when you want to escape.

***Post your questions and experiences with Coronavirus-related canceling/rescheduling of resort reservations here***

Good luck with United. They still owe me $3235.59 for a trip to Japan that they canceled. That has been since March 15.

Has anyone else been told to keep their reservation?

Just booked my March vacation to September. They offered free dining. But WDW just furloughed almost all of their staff.

Riviera Resort - is there an "Adult only" pool?

Just booked Riviera Resort for September...what are the odds that WDW is open by then? Disney canceled my March trip there and gave us some incentive to book in September.

    Spin-off Parking fees... switching hotels

And what you stated is exactly the rub that my wife and I have. We have many fond memories of staying on property. We loved the cabins, and we fell in love with CBR. The cost kept going up and we justified it because of the Disney bubble. But around 2015, the cost came at a loss of...

    Spin-off Parking fees... switching hotels

Thank You. Have one son who is former military (Army), and one who is in Japan (Navy). I have my complaints about what Disney is doing, but this will never be one. Those men and women who have served deserve this perk. God Bless them all.

    Spin-off Parking fees... switching hotels

Well said. All that WDW would have had to do was to give a reason why they started charging fees, instead of saying, "industry standard." Or to line our Management's pockets. As is stands, the parking fees are not meant for any facilities improvement. If we ever go back, we are staying off...

What incentives are left to stay on-site?

Both sides make valid points. I loved staying on property and taking in the sights and sounds of the WDW bubble. I may regret staying off-property now, but I just can no longer justify the increases on everything with no extra perks. 180 day ADRs have never really been that big of a benefit...

Parking Fee for reservations made before March 21st.

You will not be charged the fee. Only guests booking after 3/21 with a car on property with them will.

How would you improve your Disney resort experience?

Quality Inn, Travelodge Pensacola Beach, Sleep Inn, Hilton Garden Inn Key West, Navy Lodge Great Lakes...nothing too high falootin'.

How would you improve your Disney resort experience?

I have never stayed at a hotel in the last 10 years that didn't have a microwave. From PA to LV, and from Michigan down to Key West...every room we have booked has had a microwave.

Disney Resorts to start charging parking fees....

Did not know that. I always thought that there was data stored due to FP's, DDR, and credit card info that we used without actually showing the credit card, but just scanning our Magic bands.

What incentives are left to stay on-site?

We stayed at AoA in 2016. As my son was pulling out the sofa bed, he found a coffee cup, SW light saber, and a couple of T-shirts behind the sofa bed. I may be wrong, but I do not think that WDW left them in our room for a House warming gift. Housekeeping has deteriorated...but it probably...

Disney Resorts to start charging parking fees....

I'd imagine that your Magic bands have the reservation date.

Disney Resorts to start charging parking fees....

It's not just the parking fee. It's the increased park prices, increased room prices, increased dining prices, the deterioration of expectations, and the cutbacks on what you used to get for your money. Prices go higher, perks go lower. When I pay higher prices, I expect more for it. If...

What incentives are left to stay on-site?

Sorry to hear that. Have never had an issue anywhere for my wife.

What incentives are left to stay on-site?

My wife has the same allergies...gluten, soy, and dairy. WDW did an excellent job in making meals for her, but so do off-site restaurants.
  19. Kevin355

What incentives are left to stay on-site?

Bad news...not happening. But you are absolutely, 100% correct. I was all about the bubble before WDW became more about the wallet.
  20. Kevin355

What incentives are left to stay on-site?

You can stay off site, book meals at WDW and pay OOP, and still come out ahead more than you can with the DDP. I used to love being in the bubble. People would tell me that you can better pricing by staying off site. I used to laugh. Now, when you are paying the equivalent at ASM, and the...
