"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

I am really excited but am starting to realize...I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I AM DOING!!!...I keep checking everyday to see if they are announcing the actual on sale date...but when we go to the party (never been to the party or to WDW) we are doing the party Oct 9th and not doing any parks or anything that day just gonna be there at 4 to go into the park then the next day we are doing one day only at MK...so I guess rides aren't SUPER important for the party we ABSOLUTELY have to meet Jack but I don't know what else are must do's of course we want to do trick or treat trails my kids are 6 & 7 so any advice on our best plan of action and things to do would be appreciated!!!! Or any good sources where I can read up on all available stuff to do would be great too

I finally got my dates figured out and I am going to do MNSSHP 9/20 and 9/22! So excited! I'm really hoping the soirée happens again so I can do that one night as well.

CRT closed early for the soirée. The meal and soirée were at the same place. Unless you are doing a couple parties, I wouldn't recommend dinner so close to party time. Depending what you want to do or who you want to see, it makes more sense to wait in a line before the party rather than during the party wasting precious party time.

Thanks for the heads up about the soiree! My 180 day window opens tomorrow and I'm going to try to book CRT for an early meal the night of MNSSHP. It's my daughter's only birthday request so hopefully I will be able to book something. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I'm thinking of eating around 5 o clock or so to allow ample time to enjoy the MNSSHP parade and events later that night.

I was the exact same way - had NO idea how to even attempt to plan for this. I found this guide (I hope it's okay to post the website...if not feel free to remove) and it was VERY helpful in helping me understand all the different offerings and how to plan them out. http://www.disneytouristblog.com/mickeys-not-so-scary-halloween-party-review-tips/

I recommend an early morning breakfast at CRT. Try for 8:30am. It is fun to go inside MK before the park opens. Wonderful photo opps.

Can someone tell me what the villains soiree is? And how much it cost last year?

It was a special event in the Castle at CRT during the Halloween party. There were special drinks, snacks, and desserts, plus M&Gs with certain Villains, and special reserved seating for Boo to You and HalloWishes. Last year it cost $99 a person, beyond the cost of the party ticket. It sold out most, if not all, nights - I'm assuming something that popular will be back this year, but no announcement yet.

The soiree also was at 10:15 so it could take up a lot of party time, and on some nights at 11:45 so you could end the party and walk down a deserted main street which i heard some people say was quite cool.

I just called to book surfing lessons during my September trip and the CM said to put April 8th on my calendar to call back for Halloween Party tickets.
Do you have an AP?
If I understand things correctly AP's get a presale.

I do have an AP, but I am not sure if I had told her that yet or not. She did have my room reservation number, so maybe she could tell that way.

Question about costumes...I am considering either Star Wars Rebel or Star Wars for our family of 4, I am sure a ton of people do this but I cant figure out what else ( I am not creative) so can you bring light sabers with you?

Do the tickets go on sale online? Or do you have to order them over the phone?

We've always bought them online. I'm not sure if they appear online the first day you can buy them though. The earliest we've ever bought tickets was a month or two out.

Does anyone know how quickly the soirees were selling out last year? We were only able to get tickets the day of by asking at CRT about 45 minutes before the parade started but I'd like to avoid that stress this year :) Wondering if I calling within a few days of them going on sale would be sufficient. thanks for any input!
